What's your favorite Elder Ssrolls game? Mine personally is Oblivion. I feel like it did the whole live another life in another world concept the best.

Morrowind because I'm too retarded for Daggerfall but not retarded enough for Todd Howard's lies.
daggerfall > morrowind > oblivion > skyrim
never played arena, but it is probably the best game based on the trend here
>>37507179
You're supposed to say Morrowind and from an objective standpoint it's the best game
However Oblivion just felt better, I enjoyed the world more and it was really pretty and relaxing, plus the OST was amazing.
Obviously Oblivion had glaring issues. The quest marker/compass was a huge step back for the series, the introduction of fast travel, Oblivion itself was actually the weakest part of the game etc but it just had so much charm

Todd made Morrowind too.
>>37507179
Morrowind but it was my first
Loved running around and making up stories for my character in my head cause the world was so big and open
>>37507179
Probably Morrowind but then again I played that when I was like 9 so I probably have a nostalgia bias. I didn't like Oblivion as much as I liked Skyrim to be honest but then again I didn't play Oblivion until after I put like 300 hours into Skyrim.

Oblivion get alot of hate, but its one of my favorite games
Elder Scrolls Online.
Only played Oblivion and Skyrim for a bit but they're not my cup of tea. I prefer JRPG's and isometric WRPG's.
Also the games ran like absolute shit, same for the fallout series. 4 was so shit I was actually convinced it would kill Bethesda, but then I saw the reviews and lost hope in humanity.

tbqh i wish i could enjoy the modded skyrim.
I see a lot of people still playing it and having thousands of hours. Its still one of the most played games on steam
Then i spend a bit modding it, play for a dozen hours and uninstall for a very long time

We will always hold a nostalgic love for the first game we play in a series. Mine was Oblivion, and I loved the hell out of it. But from gameplay and design standpoint, Skyrim is mostly the superior game in my opinion. Plus modding Skyrim is a far smoother experience than it was with Oblivion.

Oblivion > Morrowind > Skyrim
Never played Daggerfall and Arena. Morrowind would probably be ahead of Oblivion if I invested a meaningful amount of time into it.
t. guy with 900 hours with Redguard (Oblivion) and 700 hours with Argonian (Skyrim)
Skyrim. Oblivion had too many issues. We remember the good stuff but forget how incredibly tedious it could get. Doing the same thing over and over again for the Mages' Guild or to close the portals etc.
I feel like I could have really loved Morrowind, but I never played it when it first came out. One of those weird things where you sometimes just can't get into games if you play them late.
>>37507179
Lets just hope Valenwood has the mod kit released the same day the game drops
>>37507954
I enjoyed the tedious aspects of Oblivion, then again, this is coming from a guy who enjoys zoning out, listening to music, and doing tedious grinding for hours. (99 Luck reporting in). Closed every Oblivion gate too.
>>37507179
Morrowind has the best atmosphere, world design/look, RPG mechanics and lore.
Oblivion has the best expansion and quests.
Skyrim has the best combat and visuals.
Anything before these games doesn't matter btw.
>>37507179
Morrowind and Daggerfall, followed by Oblivion (for nostalgia, I played this one first) and then Skyrim. I've never played Arena.
>>37507971
You mean Elsweyr?
>>37508051
who knows at this point what Todd is going to do
>>37507179
Oblivion for me, it felt so cozy with its warm environments and bright colors. I am very hyped for the Skyblivion mod to be complete, hell I recently started playing Oblivion again with mods from 2015 - 16ish and it looks flawless
>>37507179
I can't say for sure, but I feel like it could be skywind when that comes out.
>>37507179
i was way late to the elders scrolls band wagon i WISH i lived in the days of dagger fall and arena i played a fuck ton of skyrim in highschool on a shitty laptop and then got into oblivion and morrowind i kinda went backwards i like morrowind because it reminds me of a time when PC games where not so graphically intensive
Runescape.
But I want to get one Elder Scroll game for this summer, since I'll have a lot of time.
>>37507683
how can it superior they're apples and oranges
>>37507179
hard choice between morrowind and daggerfall.
daggerfall was more complex and there was a lot to do, but the towns were completely generic.
on the other hand morrowind was just beautiful looking, but with less complex gamplay but with less generic towns and npc
never played arena, never will
>>37507179
>tfw skyrim could've been decent if bethesda still had some creativity
The only decent questlines were daedric princes and the dark brotherhood
