Stop being scared of Carpenter Bees. They aren't very aggressive and usually won't sting unless you tried grabbing one with your hands.
If I try to hit it would it sting

They're aggressive and will sting if you get too close to them or their territory. Their stings make your skin swell up.

ohhh noooo that's not good at all :(
Kill them all? Or keep them as pollinators?
Imagine slowly closing your hand around them
Bumblebees belong to the genus Bombus, in the family Apidae (bees). They are different from other bees because they are large, fuzzy and carry pollen in 'pollen baskets' on their hind legs. There are approximately 250 species of bumblebee globally and about 50 are found in North America. Bumblebees feed only on pollen and nectar and thus are not the insects that bother you during picnics. While female bumblebees can sting, they are quite docile and will only sting if their colony is disturbed or they are cornered.

give more information on insects
Honeybees are flying insects, and close relatives of wasps and ants. They are found on every continent on earth, except for Antarctica.
Bees of all varieties live on nectar and pollen. Without bees, pollination would be difficult and time consuming - it is estimated that one-third of the human food supply depends on insect pollination. Bees have a long, straw-like tongue called a probiscus that allows them to drink the nectar from deep within blossoms. Bees are also equipped with two wings, two antennae, and three segmented body parts (the head, the thorax, and the abdomen). Honeybees are social insects that live in colonies. The hive population consists of a single queen, a few hundred drones, and thousands of worker bees.
Beetles are cool as fuck, I wish they were 2-3 feet long

I like to pet bumblebees

Beetles are too crunchy
>tfw had a bee dig a hole into the bottom of a board on our deck
>waited until he dug himself all the way in before taking a piece of gum and blocking its exit
Take that you little bee bitch
>>37491444
I would not mind bugs so much if they were normally larger. The fact that they are so small just creeps me out, and makes the larger individuals that much scarier.
>>37490484
I want to fuck a bumblebee.
>>37491444
I think we should start selectively breeding/genetically engineering larger insects and study the genetic mechanisms for determining size, and try to have big bug pets.
>tfw my brother grabbed a carpenter bee because he thought they didn't sting
>>37491444
If you want them to be bigger then stop polluting the planet. Big creatures need clean planet :)
>>37492490
The males don't sting, but they still bite when provoked. They regularly bore through wood so their bites are pretty painful.
