I started re-reading genesis the other day.

I dunno if I believe in God, but I like the Bible. It demonstrates, if nothing else, that some ancient people had a surprisingly insightful perspective on human nature.

I remember when I was 13 and didn't know how to bait good

My parents bought me Donkey Kong Country for Game Boy, after I learned all of the books of the Bible in order. While still living at home, I was on yearly reading plan. I think I only ever completed it twice though.

Now I'm a fucking heathen and full of resentment over my childhood. I really wish I could have had a causal Protestant upbringing. I'd probably still be in it today, and maybe even be married and happy.

I read the whole Bible cover to cover before I was diagnosed with ADD so my attention span was really bad and I forgot almost everything as soon as I turned the page. Now I have medication and I love reading, but I'm an atheist and have no desire to read it again.
