Yes actually, I've been stuck at gn4 for what feels like forever.

I find it hard to care enough to actually do drills or warm up before matches, or even really try during comp games.

I feel you. I have over 60 days played on Smite, yet my win rate across all modes is under 50%. I'm a computer science major yet I can't code for shit without asking for help on stackoverflow or other sites. I can't get a good job, I have to work in factories because I'm dumb as shit yet I'm usually the slowest worker and I get fired within a few weeks. It's probably because my IQ is in the low 90s range. My only real hope at success is marrying some rich dude, but I'm ugly as fuck so I can't do that either. I don't know what I'm going to do, no, I don't know what I CAN do with my life being so stupid and incompetent and everything.

Imma lay some knowledge on you and I honestly do hope you'll listen because this will change your outlook on things.

First of all, congratulations on realising that what you're doing sucks. Most people go through life thinking their stupid shit is a gift to humanity. The fact that you understand that your shit is shit is a gigantic step in the right direction and it will help you analyse what's wrong and work on improving it. If you think you're good you will never get better.

Second, I can assure you that if you're taking the time to practice and hone your craft you are not as bad as you think you are. Keep that in mind and keep striving for perfection. If you can find past work and compare it honestly you will know.

Third, there will always be people who are better than you. Life is not a zero sum game. There will ALWAYS be stronger, faster, more creative people and you will have to live with that. Just know that you don't need to be Mozart to be a good composer that people want to listen to.

And finally, you will never achieve what is in your mind. Your mind is perfect but you are not. There will always be a disconnect between what you want to achieve and what you actually achieve (or paint, or write, or produce). The beauty of this is that as you improve so does your imagination, always staying one step away from you. Do not let this discourage you but instead keep striving to make the ends meet.

There are only so many products humans can consume in any given day. With mass production they almost certainly wont be yours unless you happen to be the best in the world at making that thing. By definition the vast majority of people are not the best in the world at anything. Therefore very few people will ever consume anything that you make.

I'm a music conservatory graduate. I spent years analyzing music for grades, so when I come across something that's garbage, I know. Mozart's music has the melodic complexity of a train horn (actually less; train horns often are tuned to a tritone, which seem to be absent in his music) and the lyrical complexity of his non-traditional vocal works barely surpasses 3rd grade vocabulary. Not only is this music intended for ignorant audiences, it's intended to turn impressionable young people into bad composers. His jaded and weary compositions have no more significance than inter-office memos.

If you strive to be famous you will NEVER be great. Strive to make real art instead, let that be your end goal and reward.
