why dont robots try volunteering? >actually fucking contributing

Time rather spent doing other things.
The only thing that appeals to me in that list is the free food but I don't eat much so that's not as enticing as it could be.

I've volunteered many times. It mostly sucks though. Helping poor people is the worst. I know it's not their fault, but they are uneducated. This means they are rude, entitled an dangerous. Our program got canceled because volunteers got mugged by the people they were helping and a couple of them got stabbed. I also volunteered at a retirement house. That was pretty ok. It was all grandmas and I just had to hang out with them. We mostly played cards. But then my favorite grandma died and coming back was too depressing. It's also really sad how most of them had been completely abandoned by their families.

It's a pretty good feeling, I only volunteer a few hours a month helping at a veteran's meeting and I get to eat some of the leftover food and old people are cool and I don't feel like such a selfish piece of shit.

The families that get the house have to put a certain amount of hours in. I'm not sure how much exactly but it's quite alot if I remember. Also requires a well written submission and probably other shit too. Not too many "shitskins" as you say are going to put in that much work.

It's not bad but i'm still a lonely introvert who spends most of his time at home, on his computer. People don't think better of you for volunteering if you have no-one outside of the volunteering to talk to. I'd say go for it, you can develop meaningful relationships but young people generally have a lot going for them and hence you may not see many young volunteers. That younger girls was only volunteering because she was an employee's daughter anyway.
