As strange as it sounds, my backpack. I've been using the same one ever since I was 16 (I'm 25 now), and from 10-16, I used another backpack that was exactly the same brand.

Even though I'm a grown ass man, I still take it with me anytime I leave the house. I feel really strange any time I have to leave the house without my backpack slung over my shoulders. I've sewn it up where it ripped once, and one of the straps snapped so I fixed it, and I guess I've just become very attached to it over the years.

When i was a kid i made a ring with the chain of a necklace, and to this day, i can't leave my house without it, i only use it when i need to be focused on something/ be confident in what i'm doing, or when i'm doing some difficult task.

The ring is not made from some silver chain or anything like that, but it's really precious to me because it's a reminder of what i was and what i wanted to be.

Aside from that, one of my oldest knifes and a dagger forged by my grandfather.

If the building is on fire and I can get the one thing, I get the bachelor's diploma. It will sound sillly to most turbo-normie types, but I fucked up earlier in college so going back and finishing was actually a meaningful project in my life and I like having the proof, even for something that isn't a huge deal by first-world standards.

Also, being a regular user of this board, I don't have any kids or pictures of girlfriends or friends etc, with the below exception. There is one photograph of dad and myself when I was a boy. Dad had a large, colorful umbrella in the rain and I was hanging on to one side of it. We were both dressed alike in similar pleb plaid outfits, and a photographer for the local paper liked the picture
so he snapped us and asked if he could use it as front page material, which he did.

Mom of course likes her pictures and wants one of us the next time I come home; I suggested that we stage a "parallel" version to the above, just me and her, facing away from the camera. I like the idea of the only pictures I have of those I care about the most being pictures where we face away from the camera, nice and anonymous. Despite this blogpost, the diploma is still way more important to me than a picture. In more sour moods, I have a fantasy of quietly destroying every picture that mom has of me, while visiting home one night, so that she has no pictures left once I've done something foolish.

The rest is just stuff. It's quite nice stuff, yes, but it's either basic household supplies or media that I can get on the internet if I really have to (books, video games, music etc). I don't have one single extra-precious physical object with deep personal emotional significance, apart from the above. Rather, I simply have a collection of stuff that I quite like and that I like being able to pull off the shelf when I want to interact with it. The irony is that I cling to old media and like having it, but apparently not that much.
