covfefe was funny for approximately 1 hour after it happened because there was more going on than just "a word is spelled wrong lol"

it was kind of funny to me partially because it was just patently absurd, but also because it was pretty easy to imagine trump's phone being literally wrenched from his hands by a team of lawyers. alternatively, it was fairly easy to imagine that the president had experienced some kind of massive stroke while using twitter and nobody was gonna do anything about it.

if you take a step back and think about this in a non >current year state of mind, it actually is pretty fucking funny that the 70 year old president of the united states butchered a tweet at like midnight or something. we're so used to the experience of @realdonaldtrump that it doesn't even seem weird to us anymore.

it obviously stopped being funny once the normie meme cycle ran it into the ground within about 2 hours. but normies do that to everything, not just jokes at the expense of trump.

it's kind of interesting that the same trump sycophants who "memed him into the office" or whatever (a tactic that by definition involved making internet jokes about the guy) are suddenly really butthurt that people are laughing at him online. i thought /pol/ was in it for the memes?
