Hey bros, can we have a comfy thread please? (I'm feeling down) I don't have much to offer, except an image of the most comfy Pokemon game; but comfy is about sharing, and I know I can count on you all
>>37416939
Here's a comfy picture to look at. I'll also fetch you some music, anon.
>>37416981

In my opinion, here is some pretty comfy music.
>>37416939
Crystal is the comfiest Pokemon, yes.
But I find myself playing yellow more. Because it doesn't have the day/night changes, I can play yellow at any time of day and be able to catch everything, and not be forced to play it only between certain hours to get certain Pokemon.
If I could make it so all Pokemon appear all the time, and not morning/evening, id play crystal forever.
>>37416981
Thank you anon! I appreciate it very much, I found a comfy image amongst other saved pictures... Take it, you deserve it
The emptiness and vastness of space is pretty comfy imo
>>37416939
What's got you down my dude?
>>37417028
I think HGSS was the comfiest pokemon, they were the only remakes that really felt like they had love put into them instead of just being cash grabs. I mean, they were still cash grabs, but they were fun cash grabs.

>>37416939
What's up OP?
>>37416981
That's a nice photo dude, I wish I had an arcade nearby, although I'd probably waste stupid amounts of money.
I always found aesthetic photos like these to be relaxing and pleasing
>>37416939
I always find going for a walk at night is quite comfy and hearing the faint sounds of the cars and watching the neon lit streets. It's extremely nice. Try going for a late night walk for some pure comfy anon.
>>37417077
Also, You're welcome. I myself never see comfy threads much but I love them. Gives me a fuzzy kind of feeling that I can't quite describe.
>>37417105
Yeah, It is a nice picture. I hate wasting my money at arcades. But I have to admit they can be super comfy. Depending on the atmosphere. Even the, still quite fun.
>>37417077
>>37417133
Thanks for the picture by the way! definitely saving it. This one here is my current background.
>>37416939
Ok comfy pics incoming, origiahls
>>37417098
I always found space a weird kind of comfy, because staring at it also makes me think about things I don't often think about.
I hope everyone's day was good.original

I'm not quite sure I find it all that comfy. But we all have different views of what is comfy or not.
>>37416939
This is my phone's wallpaper. V comfy in my eyes. The Mother series is a very comfy game series, if you're interested, OP.

Many things, primarily I have just been feeling constantly down the last months, I don't know why... But recently people I cared about greatly demonstrated they were not as good friends as I thought
>>37417133
I would love to try that anon! but most nights I just am so tired I can't even sleep... It is quite strange to try and describe it, I feel like constantly worn down and about to fall asleep throughout the day, but can't do it nor anything else cause of this tiredness (But I will try to do it the soonest possible, I have been interested in doing it for weeks!)
>>37417258
I hope you are having a good day or night too!
Okay, anons! I booted up my laptop, and here I have more than 300 comfy pics, make requests of pics and I'll see if I got one similar to what your looking for (Anyway I will keep posting random ones)
>>37417349
Reminds me of those vibes I get while listening to synthwave.
This shit either gets no reaction out of me or makes me anxious. How do yall find this comfy?
>>37417373
Yeah, I always find I get tired too. But if you can't sleep, it can help to just relax. Maybe try going for a coffee at your local cafe or your favorite.
>>37417349
Mother (In my humble opinion especially Mother 3) is a very comfy game series, and a very refined game choice
>>37417405
Well, how does this make you anxious anon? Explain.
>>37416939
>tfw GSC was super comfy
I miss that era of comfy...RSE was comfy but it was a little more...Gen IV was comfy in a different way, Sinnoh was ultra comfy
>>37417409
That sounds absolutely amazing, I would love to try it, and even more while drinking coffee (to lurking anons, don't let the memes fool you, it is delicious if prepared correctly) Thank you!

>>37417412
Ayyy you have some Patrician taste then, anon. Mother 3 is my favorite game, it's a masterpiece and gives off comfy vibes, even in the more depressing moments.
>>37417470
No problem! It's such an amazing feeling. to be able to sit around at a cafe during the night and have a nice cup of coffee with you. It's something I can never describe, yet I love the feeling I get.

>>37417698
Interesting fact, I didn't know the name of the city! I myself am from Costa Rica, (I have never found another user of this board from my country) here it is pretty comfy too
I don't have any comfy pics, is some music I find comfy ok too?

i had a several folders of images saved on my old computer. i miss that thing.
>>37417765
Well OP, I hope you enjoyed the first pic I sent and the tunes. I'm gonna head out for a nice walk now. Probably grab a coffee too.
Not really happy with these results desu...... anyone have better luck?
>>37417695
I like most Nintendo IPs, especially Xenoblade, Pokemon, and Zelda. I love Monster Hunter too, sunk hundreds of hours into those games. The LISA series and other indie RPGs are fun to me. Shovel Knight is amazing. I love platformers in general. Oh, and old and difficult NES games like Battletoads.
So mostly comfy games or very difficult/ deceptively difficult games, really.
>>37417581
if any you guys haven't already played Cave Story, it's freeware and available on many platforms. Its extremely comfy
sorry these images came out kind of small.

Listen to this: https://youtu.be/4NZdggNUvq0
I was feeling pretty down when I first listened to this a year ago and coming back to it now nearly made me cry.

Yeah, Isaac is great. I didn't care much for Afterbirth though.
>>37417793
Starting off today with some empty streets. I have always thought being the only person in the world would be extremely comfy (if a bit lonely).
>>37417981
Would you like to be friends on Steam? If you have Portal 2 we could play it
>>37418002
Next up is the vast emptiness of space, which an anon already said can be wuite comfy. I think there are two sides to being alone, and artworks like this picture show the good side, the beauty.

>>37418365
Actually, would any of you be interested in having another thread like this in about two days? (friday, at a similar time to which this one started)
And the last thought, I would love comfy thread becoming a general on this board, people seem to be very hateful towards each other recently, they need more comfiness in their lives, once again, thanks to you all, and hope to see you all in the next thread
Just to make sure everyone knows, rainymood.com is a comfy site to simulate some constant comfort as you click around the web and listen to tunes and play video games.
I don't have a comfy picture. I'm sorry. I hope everyone has a nice sleep and that your tomorrow is better than your yesterday.

Has anyone played the original Phantasy Star games? Phantasy star 2 was supremely comfy for me; from its OST to its dystopic atmosphere it had a nice 90s vibe to it. Phantasy star 4 also, but I think 2 was comfier.
On the topic of Phantasy Star, would anyone like to do a runthrough of PSO? I've only played it solo for a few minutes, but I think it'd be comfy to go through it with an anon or three. I'm a 25 NEET shutin for what it's worth.
>>37416939
GSC was max comfy. I still load up Silver from time to time while laying in bed, prior to sleeping. I just listen to the music and enjoy its comfy nighttime scenery as I drift off.
Sadly I got into a delete war with my brother back in the day so my save file is gone. I'd like to replay it one of these days but I don't have the patience for most games now, let alone grindfests. I'm learning Jap though so maybe playing it in Nip would be a good way to hone my skills.
>>37418399
I have the same sentiment. I sometimes log onto classic WoW just to afk in the inns and listen to the music and imagine that I'm there. The nostalgia and reminiscing of how carefree life was back when I played is nice too. I never RPd (unironically at least) but I love the old Warcraft lore and think it could be fun. Would you be interested in hanging out in front of a cozy inn fire with me anon?

I love the Azalea town theme. So full-hearted and nostalgic. Much of the soundtrack seems very nostalgic in a melancholy kind of way, I wonder if the composer was thinking of his own childhood? Pokemon really evokes that childlike feeling of going on an adventure.
>>37416939
I don't want to post in the other thread, it's full of normies. I haven't been on r9k in months now. I like these comfy threads though. I just wanted to post this somewhere because I had a nice day.
>be my sperg/autist self waiting in line today to order food
>get my food, pay, and start to go
this is the crazy part
>qt korean girl from one of my classes (who I have never talked to, just know her face) ACTUALLY comes up to me and says hi
>feel my heartbeat get loud in my head and feel a bit faint
>she asks me, kind of quietly, if I could help her out with something for class later in the day
>she explains she needs help, luckily the thing she needs help on (nuclear chemistry) is something I paid attention to in class
>I stutter out a yes, she says she'll meet me in the library
normally I have to give myself a reminder in writing or on my computer to make sure I do something, but there was no way I'd forget to meet her.
>walk out of there grinning from ear to ear and actually laughing
>felt good for first time in a while
...
>go into library later on, see her looking around
I had been literally feeling sick to my stomach at the thought of talking to this girl the whole day at this point
>sit down and actually help her out, somehow I did a better job explaining than I thought I would do
>we talk for about half an hour or 45 minutes, and then have to go
>she tells me she will message me later if she needs help, and says she's thankful I helped her
>left the library and was surprised I didn't sperg out
this was the highlight of my week. it was like in a damn anime the way things turned out today. I mean I don't think anything more will come of it, but it was a nice experience and I'm glad I sort of got over my fears.
someone please respond, I just wanted someone to read this and maybe say good job or something, I don't know.

well I was mostly helping her understand quarks and hadrons and all that crap, but I did talk to her about some mundane stuff too. after I got over my nervousness it was actually pretty comfy. she told me she used to live in Korea in a city called Kwangju. I think that's what she said. it was still pretty nice though and she is a qt also
>>37420679
>Pokemon really evokes that childlike feeling of going on an adventure.
I'm still young enough to almost pretend I'm a kid again. sometimes I get on my bicycle and ride far into neighborhoods I've never been to. the other day I rode a few miles a way I haven't been and I bought some camera film from a shop, because I think it would be cool to have a film camera for fun.

Nice one man. Why not ask her out for coffee? Seems like she's comfortable with you and will probably oblige to at least one date. Good luck anon, I hope you take this opportunity

That's weird because I've thought about doing the exact same thing. Just getting on my bike and taking pictures with a film camera. It's so nice out now too, there's something nostalgic about the summer. What do you think? Should I get a camera?

PS3 was a nightmare for me. It had great music and I liked the generational concept, but the random battles every 2 steps and the enemies consisting of street signs and floating heads and stuff didn't do much for me. I powered through it with speedhacks but it still took a while.
PS4 is an all around great game though; definitely a gem. It's relatively short, has a good character cast, and has a good story that continues from the previous games (and even ties into PS3), and brings them all together into a satisfying conclusion. It has a great OST, fun battle system, and neat comic-esque storytelling method. I'd definitely play it anon, I don't think it should take more than 10-15 hours. It has a top-tier waifu too if you're into that kind of thing. It --as well as PS1-3-- also has some great official studio covers of its OST listed on the "Phantasy Star Sound Collection" CDs.
>>37420892
>sometimes I get on my bicycle and ride far into neighborhoods I've never been to
I like doing this as well anon. Riding in a random direction and getting lost and trying to find your way back is pretty comfy. Especially if you put on some vidya music, such as one of the pkmn bike themes.
>>37421013

>having this theme be realized with "real" instruments gives it a kind of retro j-pop feel to me for some reason.
For me, it gives me the nearly the same level of feels as the original since it's such a spot-on remaster.

This often seems to be the case for a burger such as I. I'll try to find a download link for the album at a later point. What's the name of the song for reference? Patrician taste though anon. While I don't listen to much music, I like old j-pop and have actually heard one of her albums.
You seem like a pretty cool anon, anon. I'm going to sleep now but if you want to speak further you can reach me at [email protected]
If not, perhaps I'll see you in the next comfy thread.
Other anons who want to play PSO or hang out in private server WoW inns or do some netplay on old vidya are welcome to message me as well. Just mention that you're from the comfy thread.

My home town docks when the fog rolls in is comfy as fuck. I love sitting there smoking, having a beer getting my buzz on and watching it roll in.
The walks home at night can feel like some shit out of a Lovecraftian horror in the fall.

Back at that party, I was all over her

I just remember I was lonely

childhood friend I hadn't seen in years dropped by with some lsd so we dropped it at the lake and just chilled out, the sunset i snapped seems pretty comfy, it was then.
Outside my place lastnight.

I think the ghetto would be comfy if it weren't for the trashy people living there.
I listen to this a lot of nights to fall asleep too and pretend I am in a cozy futuristic comfy home during a wind/dust storm on a new planet/mars.
Kinda weird I know but the Mars colonization meme is something that peaks my autism

The simpleness is comfy. The demographic and the crime rate it brings along, not so much.
Anecdotal experience: I once visited the ghetto with a friend and its the only place I can go if I want Popeyes chicken.

summer can also be comfy
I always think of summer as of a lazy season. It was so hot people would cease doing things and just rest in a shade or under a fan
>>37428133
Summer days as a kid are some of the most fun. That sense of two months of freedom is not comprehendible when school ends.

the way the color changed with the cities was so chill, and the first town is called pallet, I hate to be that guy but gen 1 really had a magic all its own

You hate to be right? Anon, you are right. Everyone knows the other generations were merely a cash grab.
>>37428472
How's that English degree working out for you?
>>37428821
well the graphics in gen 2 are the best in my opinion but the region is kind of bland
>>37428821
What's wrong with 2? 2 and 1 fit together really naturally.
Game Freak actually planned for 2 to be the last generation, so they tried to cram as much cool shit into it as possible. (Which meant that they had to take stuff like night and day out of Ruby and Sapphire, only to reintroduce them later as "new" features.)
