You guys want a big fat "red pill", as the kids call it, that will likely sort a big chunk of your problems out? It's three little words that can and should be applied to anything and everything in your life.

less is more

I know that sounds fucking stupid and incredibly counter-intuitive to a bunch of 18-20 year olds who grew with free unlimited movies and video games and music and porn on unlimited high-speed internet, but I think that deep down you know it's true. You have the entire recorded world at the disposal of your fringertip and with a couple of keystrokes and a click you can summon up anything from your wildest imagination.

Yet, you still have moments where you stare at the screen and think "I'm bored". We all do.

The more you consume, the less you enjoy. My personal experience was having a 160 GB iPod that was filled with music and podcasts. Some entire albums I never listened to once. If played all the tracks on shuffle I would skip 9/10 songs. Then one day my ipod ate shit and stopped working. I had a panic attack as I had to now use my 16GB phone that really only had 10 free GB to use for my music and bullshit free to play games that were also their own problem.

I had to trim the fat. Select not just albums that I loved and hadn't listened to yet, but also individual songs from albums. I got rid of most of those games well. I've never been happier with my music. I don't skip a single song anymore.

I also did the same with my physical belongings (check out the KonMari method), and then in my computer all my files and bookmarks and e-mails. I purged so much and only kept what made me happy.

The same is true of time and what you do with it as well. NEETs who have all the free time in the world aren't happy because they waste all the time in the world and just post frogs 16 hours a day. Gamers who torrent all the games don't enjoy gaming anymore. Fatbots who eat all the fat in the world aren't happy as well. Alcoholics and potheads aren't exactly the life of the party. People who beat off to porn 8 times a day don't know what a real orgasm feels like anymore. Even normies who have sex with a different person every weekend aren't that happy.

Less is always more. Hopefully you can move forward with your life using that. Thanks for reading my fucking blog, I hope it really made you think.

Good for you anon.

If it's just your one room you have to go through, do it all in one day. It can be done in an afternoon, and it's better to do it all in one go than to try and do a little bit each day.

Digital possessions are just as much of a burden as our physical ones as well. When you change your environment you change yourself.

I barely have anything left to get rid of. I'm fairly poor so I decided to start selling off my shit in hopes of paying some debt back. I sold my computer, I've sold a few guns, and I've sold literally everything else I has that was worth anything and I don't use.
All I have left is;
>Clothes
>An RV that's needs repaired
>Several guns, most not worth tooich and I enjoy them too much
>Several
>a 5+ year old laptop that surprisingly still works
>several other weapons like axes, knives, etc
>a cheap ass motorcycle
>and my phone
I just want enough money to move to the woods

>>37385329
this is already like me anyway, the only thing i need more of is friends
>>

>>
>>37385329
I grew up poor and never want to go back to having to make difficult decisions because of no money. If you have the ability to handle the freedom and responsibility more is more.

I think what OP gets at is more the people who have no clue what they are doing or want and then become paralyzed by choice. I'll give an example. Say I need to buy Thing, I make a mental list of all the things it has to have and then pick the cheapest thing that meets those requirements. People who can't do this just type in thing and then get bogged down and autistically compare the smallest differences or if lazy, just buy the most expensive Thing.

Wow nice soap boxing Anon. Must have been real hard having to limit yourself to just 9-10gb worth of songs. Back in my day all I had was a Sony Walkman and a cassette tape. I didn't have a heap of money so I couldn't afford a bunch of cassettes, only 3. I'd just tape my songs off the radio. Each casette could hold approximately 150 minutes of audio (on two sides) and my batteries ran out after about 5 hours. They weren't rechargeable batteries fyi.

You millennial faggots have it so hard.

Yeah that's definitely a big part of it. Option paralysis is definitely a major and also new phenomenon.

When I was a kid, if I wanted to play a video game I would pick one of like 5 games that we had, or maybe rented whatever they had available that day at the local video store. Now there's a million different games on your phone or computer or portable system or gaming consoles or anything else. Same with watching TV, we would watch whatever was on at whatever given time on one of the handful of terrestrial channels we had.

It's the same with also choosing a career in life. Life was so much simple even just 20 years ago.

But it's also about lifestyles of repetition.

>If you have the ability to handle the freedom and responsibility more is more.

That's true for material things, but as a random example, playing 5 video games 10 hours a day won't make you happier than playing 4 video games 9 hours a day, just the opposite.

I'm 32 years old and grew up with those things as well.

But I'm assuming that you went through the same thing as me and adopted new technologies over time, yes?

You're not still listening to tapes on your walkman and watching VHS tapes on your VCR, yes? You're not using dial-up anymore, right? That was all 20 years ago. Times have changed and our habits have changed.

I am not bored OP
I am lonely and depressed and I like to sleep all day

i agree that "less is more" but what is the alternative to the life we live?

we are living in a homosexual, sexually repressed society where if you show a slight interest of finding a job or get a woman you get shat on from all directions.
basically what we are doing now is trying to extend our childhood because we can't be adults. our society become so homogenized and conformal that disagreeing with whats normal is considered a crime.
what is this world basically? you have a bunch of bored males playing video games and twiddling their thumbs all day because they can see the world for what it really is. we don't give a fuck about society, or country,or nation. because we were forced from childhood to be agreeable as possible. the only way to find a girlfriend or have a large circle of friends is to be agreeable as possible.
>>
>>37387933
>homosexual, sexually repressed society

Are you American or Iranian?
>>
>>37387965
you might find it weird but the western world is more sexually repressed than iran or saudi arabia.
yes they wear black clothes that cover everything and forbid having sex at a young age. but they don't have this rape culture mentality very extreme pandering to females that ultimately affects our desire to co exist and raise a family
>>
This is good advice. What OP is getting at is to have a clear mind. Don't burden yourself with a complex life, simplify it and focus one one or two main goals. Mark Zuckerberg simplifies his life to the point where he legit has 10 copies of the same outfit. He wears the same shit everyday so he has to make one less decision in his day. All he really does is focus on facebook.
>>
>>37388125
That's kind of the point behind casual menswear. It always matches and looks good with each other. Casual is the only place I mix things up. Other than that I just have copies of the same t-shirt, tank top, socks, underwear, etc.. I don't have time to be putting together ensembles. I just grab the first shirt and slacks hanging in the closet and go. Wearing the same shirt and pants every day is needlessly autistic when it makes no difference if the shirt is white, pink, or blue.
