Terraria thread? Does anyone else like this game? /v/ is a cesspool so I thought I'd post this here since there's no specific topic.
You can talk about other games you like too
It's actually my favourite game of all time. I absolutely adore this game. I have over 1500 hours in this game. I just can't get enough of it. I have so many builds and it feels so cozy. Nice game pick OP
I like it a lot, but it got a little boring after I ran through it enough times. I'll still come back every now and then and play a bit, but it has its flaws.
Still incredible game, 300+ hours
Terraria is actually BEST GAME OF ALL TIME!
i only got 200+ hours and sadly i m not creative Q_Q
200+ hours love this game
Good game, can't really get into it anymore playing solo however
We should get a steam group going so we can relieve our stress by hitting up other robots and playing some Terraria. Progress doesn't even matter to most of us because we've mostly all completed the game so it's more just the immersion the game gives
Neat there's other people that like it too.
>>37383576
The comfyness of the game is one of my favorite parts. Always makes me feel calm
>>37383619
>>37383675
Luckily I've only played through it a couple times since I don't have a ton of time to play Vidya
>>37383631
I'm not very creative either but I like building arenas to fight the bosses because I'm always underequiped and playing solo, just beat the eye with no armor and a cactus sword
>>37383739
This is a good idea Anon. I mostly play mobile though, for whatever reason I can't seem to build anything properly with a mouse and keyboard
Unfortunately for that reason I've never reached the lunar events, just killed the faggot in the jungle temple
>Summoner>Ranger>Magician>Fighter
This is objectively true
>try solo playthroughs
>forget I haven't played solo so I don't know certain things my friends usually took responsibility for
>everything does truckloads of damage and the beginning is too slow in progression
I tried doing another solo playthrough but I got bored really quick.
>>37383739
A lot of people haven't played since an old update and don't know the game is completed.
>>37383739
Someone do this and post link
>>37383849
I always end up being a fighter early game and a Ranger late game. I can never seem to find enough equipment to do anything with magic until it's really late game and I just make certain things like the golden shower to help with bosses
>>37383863
I've never played with anyone. Always tried to fight the bosses myself without any proper equipment. Makes it more challenging
>>37383905
This whole post but I'm a fighter the whole game
Is this the Twilight zone? Why is everyone being so nice to me and not shitting on what I like
It's fun but boring to get into the first few hours of the game.
>>37383487
terraria is one of my favourite games. i would join a /r9k/ server/host if I knew it wouldn't be like a /v/ server
>>37383902
I'll do it but I need a good name, someone gimme one
>>37383920
I go with figther from the very beginning, it's a personal preference. I like combining stuff also. For instance, the machete thing and the vortex armor for invisibility. Insta kill on any mob if the right prefix is used. I love the aesthetics of this game. It's just a timeless classic that will probably never die since there are a million possibilities for mods and the developers keep pumping content into it NON STOP.
>>37383739
i'm on this bandwagon
>>37383970
r9k terraria
you dont need good names on here
>>37383970
terraria tavern
>>37383967
it would be like joining a /pol/ or /b/ server
>>37383905
>I've never played with anyone. Always tried to fight the bosses myself without any proper equipment. Makes it more challenging
I'm the opposite. I was introduced through friends and I enjoyed playing for the building, management, progression, and customization. The combat was something I always felt was lacking, like a basic tank/healer/dps MMO. Still fun enough combat though.
>>37383967
That's why I posted this on the wrong board, fuck /v/ so hard
>>37384024
What I like about the combat is being under equipped on purpose to stack the odds against myself. Then when I win I feel like I accomplished something
Steam group guy here, working on it right now.
Steam name is The Book of Jape
Don't know about hosting a server but it would be more of a hub for other robots (JUST robots) to connect and set up co-op things at their leisure.
If you guys make a server and it seems pretty popular I'll get the game. Loved this shit when I used to play it on console (didn't have a PC at the time). Game's only 10 smackaroos for a 10/10 experience as well

>>37384090

>>37384145
Yeah please hold, the abbreviation thing is kicking my ass.
Why does this even exist?
Also someone gimme something to set as a group pic
My brother loved it on the Xbone, I tried to play it once and couldn't get into it.
But what do I know I bought Minecraft on the Nintendo Switch.
>>37384090
link the group nigga, i'm craving some terraria
>>37384215
right here originallly
>>37384215
Here's an alright picture
>>37383487
I like it.
I built myself a zoo, and when you stepped infront of the exhibit, it activated a pressure pad, which illuminated the exhibit, and displayed a text message on the server about the animal and it's habitat and ecological needs.
I don't have anyone to play it with though now.

>>37384464
oh god... i tried a new run on stardew but then i found out what i need to get the greenhouse >.<
>>37384464
How do I get into that game?
I bought it before, but couldn't get the hang of what to do exactly, and no tutorials helped.
>>37384539
i spent the first few weeks just cleaning the farm up as much as i could, getting rid of trees and rocks so i could plant as much as i wanted, once it was clear i started planting and eventually harvested enough to where i was making a profit and able to afford some things, you have a variety of choices when it comes to what you can do and what order you do it, just enjoy the atmosphere, theres no time limit or anything
>>37384617
I heard you have to talk to people and stuff or your locked out of certain events.
>>37384646
that is true, certain events will also unlock after a certain amount of time has passed
http://stardewvalleywiki.com/Stardew_Valley_Wiki
the wiki should help a lot
>>37384464
I could get it right now if I wanted to, and I really want to
But I'd rather wait for the switch version to come out desu
Bumpin this thread so we get more players
expert mode
normal is for suckers
Otis Mcbump
Also this would make a good pic
Is there a server?
>>37385433
No, just a group. We just made it today so a server is being worked out. We need ways to balance it so that it's not a nightmare to play if you didnt grind when it started without making it feel too unnatural to vanilla terraria
starbound>terraria
>making it normie mode
wtf /r9k/.
>>37385602
itll be expert.
any status on how the server is going so far
I've been replating va11-hall-a recently
it's an incredibly fun and comfy game. very easy and you spend most of the time getting to know the people that frequent the bar. By the end of your playthrough you have a bunch of virtual friends that all have their different story arcs that you explore through them just talking to you. There are a few things you can change about encounters too, for example loading their drinks with more alchohol content will get them drunk and have new dialogue.
The music is also great, and you can customize what plays on the jukebox

Join the steam group, check the discussions.
I paid 99 cents for this fucker and have probably close to a thousand hours into it. Best bang for your buck you can get.
