Why don't you fags just learn to make trap beats? It's pretty fucking fun and you can do it just sitting there. Bands require friends are you mad?

already have and got bored of it
had a couple on a show one time lol
>>37366520

>>37366506
what is I want to make cloud rap beats theres no tutorials that are like 6 dogs or oliver francis or lil uzi
>>37366572
Are those the only genres you're into? Expand your library
>>37366506
Chad is that you?
You have been muted for 2 seconds, because your comment was not original.
I already try to make soundtracks though.
Making trap is boring as shit after you get it down, it's the same as making meme vaporwave garbage in that it takes an hour to learn and then all your time is spent finding better sounding samples/instruments before piecing a song together in 45 minutes.
>>37366776
Y-you can also put gross beat on melodies
>>37366506
I won't take """advice""" from a filthy FL user.
I tried making music, not trap beats though. The problem is that I have no musical talent and I'm also too lazy to look into how to properly make music
>>37366506
autistic people cant do things like that
ive tried making beats for a while but its too complciated
>>37366506
>that version of FL
>color coordination
>trap beats
>pretty fun to make mindless ezmode beats
yeah op even if this is bait kill yourself unironically and originally
christ this is the worst thread i've seen in months.
>>37367233
this. the only thing I understand is that tempo makes beats faster/slower. I don't know how to read notes, how to use measures, fuck i don't know anything.
>>37367092
kill yourself you stupid faggot tons of people have success with FL still and older versions of it are still more accessible than ableton.
inb4 >muh tutorial DAW
that argument has been disproven so many fucking times.
>>37367299
Reading music has nothing to do with beats lol it loops just keep it within the 1/8 lines
>>37367312
>ableton
You are like a child.
>>37367312
Ableton is just as bad as FL Studio.
My computer is shit and I can't have a job to afford a new one.
>>37366506
I've been writing soundtrack/rock/orchestra music all my life, and a few years ago I started drawing/art
These hobbies are the most depressing because most of your time improving is solitary work. Yeah you can work with other people once in a while, but the most improvement comes when you sit alone and grind. So you end up just sitting in your room/studio/whateverthefuck 10+ hours a day grinding and thus it's a recipe for being a lonely ass robot
Every time I hear of a musician or artist killing themselves I think "yeah I get it"
Look. Look at this.
Look at this fucking MIDI controller. Isn't it sexy?
Holy shit. I want one. I don't care if it's just a gimmicky, overpriced toy. I fucking want one NOW.
>>37367875

Alright, let's just start posting weird MIDI controllers now pls.
>>37366581
cloud rap is pretty easy. you just need
>a piano with tons of reverb
>a dreamy pad
>a dreamy lead
>a distorted 808 bass
>trap drums
https://clyp.it/u5k12ulx
just found this cute sample and this came upmediocre as everything I do
>>37366506
just trap though?
like trap is fun to make but why stick with just one genre?
so far my favorite genres to make are
>hardstyle
>lo fi
>chillhop
>jungle

Buchla 222e, designed to be used with Buchla modular systems. Pic is an earlier controller from the late 60s/early 70s.
I produce, mix, and master my music entirely on FL Studio 12.
It's great, and I couldn't use anything else. The piano roll is the absolute best of any daw and really is "the fastest way from your brain to your speakers" as they say.
also
>tfw you torrented so many plugin packs that you have thousands of plugins at your disposal and will never need anything new and will be able to naturally progress without being limited by only stock plugins and will have all the tools to make commercial, loud sounding mixes and masters even if the music itself is still a little shitty
>>37366506
>fl studiooriginally posted
>>37369595
there's nothing wrong with it. you can make great music with any daw. I've been using FL and only FL for as long as I can remember and it's perfect for me. The piano roll is extremely easy to use and I can make up a mock up of a song in just a few minutes, meanwhile everything else takes a lot longer and takes away from the experience of just opening a synth/piano, hitting record and playing. Fl is objectively the fastest at doing that.
>>37368318
might as well post this because the other guy posted some non midi stuff
someone should produce for me and i'll get us both rich and famous. i just need someone to turn samples i like into beats that i can rap to
here are some examples of things i want worked into beats

>using obscure daws makes you better
really wish you faggots would die quick
>>37370154
>Reason
>Reaper
>Cubase
>Logic
>Pro Tools
>Ardour
>LMMS
>"obscure"
If everything that isn't Ableton is "obscure," to you, you're 2n00b2function.
>>37370154
>ANYTHING THAT ISN'T FL STUDIO OR ABLETON IS OBSCURE HIPSTER SHIT
>WAAAAAAAH
There's a reason neither of those DAWs are industry standards and probably never will be.
Stop using toys to record music.
>not using ableton
You really had me going there for a sec, op.
>>37366506
>not making piano and synth based psych music
>>37370154
FL Studio isn't as shit as it used to be, sure, but the layout is absolutely retarded and you could get much better for much cheaper or free.
Ableton is a step up, but don't go bashing other DAWs if you're using Ableton.
>>37370154
yikes.
stay small time.
>>37370458
>>37370486
Name one thing ableton can't do.
No, really. I'm trying to push my DAW to the limit but there I'm out of ideas.
>>37370528
What do you recommend to use?
>>37370662
Reaper is really nice, especially for a free DAW. It's technically not free; it comes with a 5-second nag screen that appears every time you start it up unless you pay for a license, but the free version retains all abilities without any limitations. No watermarks, you can still export, no handicaps, etc. The only difference is the nag screen. It's pretty great for mixing/mastering.
>>37370744
Im a beginner, what specifically makes Reaper better than the rest?
>>37370793
It's not particularly better than the rest. It's just much better than, say, Audacity, considering the fact that paying for it is optional.
I personally just like it because (a) it's customizable to hell and back, (b) it treats MIDI the same as audio the same, (c) the layout seems a lot more logical and neat than Ableton, which kind of feels like a cluttered mess sometimes. Reaper is a lot better at keeping everything organized.
Otherwise, it's pretty bare-bones. Doesn't come with any free synths or drums or effects or anything.
>>37366506
Why do you wanna make some EZ-shit that sounds exactly like every other 13 year old producer on youtube. That beat is shit honestly. even for youtube standards
