What kinds of pets do robots have, and why it is you haven't discovered how cool and fun a praying mantis as a pet is yet?

They're easy to take care of, low maintenance, they're cool as fuck, chicks dig 'em, and you can take them out and play with them.

I actually have a mantis. They're pretty good robot pets if you're ok with keeping flies to feed them. Mines a third instar Pseudocreobotra wahlbergi I love the little nymph
>>
I have four guinea pigs.
Guinea pigs are not good pets.

I've kept several as pets over the years, very cool creatures. Their large eyes and their ability to swivel their heads around to observe the environment makes them seem very intelligent and full of personality compared to other insects.

>>

I really want a Halloween moon crab.

But crabs seem messy and smelly and not all that much fun to play with.
>>
>>37369217
Better give him that formuloni
>>
>>37369293

They are more active during the night, they do smell tough, i change ravioli's water every 2 nights to combat this and i also have a caramel incense a top his tank

she keeps me company as I sit in bed all day getting drunk. It's nice.

I don't really take pictures of them and they're asleep right now, but I love my 3 parakeets and single finch.
They are always beeping and flapping

Mantis are fun. There was one that lived in my yard for a while, I used to pick it up and play with it.

But I don't want to keep a pet where I have to keep fruitflies and mealworms and shit around to feed them.

They lay eggs, they act funny, they're nice, and they're interesting.
Also,

I want a ferret, but I dunno how much work they'd be compared to cats and I'm sure I'd be deathly afraid any time they go missing around the house.

Ideally I'd like a cat, but sadly I'm allergic.
>>
>>37366209
Hermit crabs, they will teach you to care.
>>
>>37370640
Don't get a ferret, they'll hoard shit and you'll find it months or years later and it's going to be smelly as fuck. They'll steal shit from you too if they like it enough, I can't remember what my friend's ferret took from him exactly but i think she ruined part of a wardrobe. And when I tried playing with her she ran from me and I had to chase her around a room before someone opened the door, it was funny how she rolled on her back though and tried to fight me off with her little hands.
>>
>>37370739
They smell fucking awful though.
>>
My dream pet is an Orchid Mantis, but their seemingly short life span deters me. Is it worth it?

Breed them!

I know guinea pugs have a longer lifespan but it was fun raising the three-four generations of them. Last one died a few years ago on the 4th of July. Broke my heart.

If I ever get another pet I'm thinking of getting rats. You have to get a big rat house for them all to live in, but they're supposed to be really social and I don't have to feel bad about keeping locked in my apartment all day every day because they have all the room they need.
>>
>>37370912
Breeding them sounds even cooler! How would I go about obtaining my first few?
>>
>>37371205
Friend of mine had one that he adored, it would follow him and climb on him. Told me about how it could open it's cage to climb into his bed with him.
>>37371218
I'd have to say look online and ask some other Anons, I only had guinea pigs for a while. And a giant goldfish but that's because I overfed him, and a blue lobster but he wasn't friendly. Now I just have a cat and some fish but the cat doesn't play with me much anymore, he used to be my pillow when we got him.
>>
>>37371316

I've read that's why you're supposed to get more than one, so they don't get lonely whenever you're gone. I also like that they seem kinda human-like in having the hands and being able to eat most anything you can eat.

my first cat, female Burmese.
very affectionate cat, really loves attention, sleeping on your lap/bed with you etc. but only really for my sister and myself, doesn't really like most people and didn't get along with our other cat when she was around. she also appears to be really dumb too honestly. mostly sleeps all day.

second cat, don't know the breed.
very solitary type in her prime, didn't like attention and spent most of her time outside, aggressive to other animals including the other cat but would ignore people unless you bothered her. in her later days she sorta changed and would sit outside our house and be pet by passerbys, oddly she still didn't like my family or I though.
>>
>>37371860
