It's going to become a bigger problem as we get older. In the west, a larger percentage of the population is going to be over 70 and retired.

The younger generation isn't large enough to support the elderly. We will have to import people from the third world to support and look after the elderly.

Dementia is going to be the number one problem economically.

It's either that or we just agree that everyone has to end their life once they start showing signs of dementia.

Boomers made the future worse for their children and we were raised/are being raised in the repercussions of the turmoil they have created. We're leaving with our grandparents and let me tell you it's the dumbest decision my mother ever made.
My grandmother literally ruined my life by overfeeding me when I was a kid, I must have gained like 10 kilos while I was still in elementary school. I never recovered, even though I'm /fit/ nowadays.
They were always raining on our parade because they were old and tired and speaking of dying everyday.
20 years later they're just fine, but overfeeding and forcing to drink in the morning is the only way to show affection they know. The fun part is my mother is also starting to get old and tired. I just want out of this toxic shithole. I'm 25 yet I've felt like I'm old and tired of life since I was like 17. I don't even want to get into relationships because all I've seen is hell that happens after a couple of decades. I just want to get away from this all.

To this day my grandmother hasn't learnt to use their recorder. She calls my brother for the dumbest shit all of the time. I admit I had a hard time shifting into my first smartphone, mostly because I was unfamiliar with how much they rely on internet connection, but for fuck's sake, it's like they force themselves to not even get curious about this shit. You can spend half of your damn life away in front of the black shitbox and not know the reason why they put more than 5 buttons on the remote.
Pains me because my mother is slowly starting to be this way, she never reads pop-ups or even instructions in the e-mail. She tries to make up for it by cooking. But at this point I don't even care quality of food I eat. I survived on a oatmeal only for two weeks and I still liked the taste of it the next morning.
