The reason why you lost interest in those things is because you're NEET. The reason why video games and anime were so cool as a kid was because you would spend your entire day in an environment where they were forbidden, and when you came home your parents would still nag you about it and tell you that you should study harder and shouldn't spend so much time in front of a screen and get out more and b ureself and shit. Now that you're NEET, you have no obstacles preventing you from wasting away as much time as you feel like on those things, and therefore, it's not as rewarding to engage in those activities as it once was.

My favorite hobbies are video games and collecting toys. But they have got too expensive for me since I am trying to save so I have stopped. While I am saving my money, I have been reading. You can go to the library of course, but what I like to do is use my Kindle and purchase the complete works of public domain authors for like $1.00 (I guess you could just download them too elsewhere though). It keeps me occupied.
