it's not as entertaining as it sounds, mostly i just wandered around aimlessly and waved at a few strangers while feeling like death and almost certainly looking like the most autistic person there. probably not inaccurately.

the plan had been that i'd arrive still drunk, then drink some more there and just make some friends with the power of alcohol, or just dance and then go home. but by the time i was there eating was impossible even though i was starving and even just drinking water was difficult. actually even just standing was difficult. indoors was too hot to survive and outside was freezing. i couldn't get comfortable sitting down and there was nowhere to lie without paying out like a hundred dollars, so i eventually just went home.

i think i got a multi-day ticket but by the time i was feeling like i might not die a few days later, i was in a state of mind fit to look through the book and see that all the events were - surprisingly enough - things that would interest furies and have nothing to do with me, particularly since i still had no friends and since the risk of being photographed would grow exponentially as more people showed up, tried to get pictures before their friends left, etc.

To this day I wonder if some furry has my name on an attendee list somewhere and my blood runs cold.

I only went to a con once. A few youtubers I followed at the time were attending and I thought "why not." Was gonna drag my gf along with me, but she ditched me to go camping with her parents that weekend.

Didn't really know what to do with myself. Wandered around, attended some shitty panels, and embarrassed myself in front of the youtubers I came to see because I had no idea what to do when I actually came face-to-face with them, so I sperged out.

Would not recommend, unless you go with a group.
