I've had these before, I get them occasionally and they are very painful and smell disgusting. What I do is put a bandaid on top of it so it can heal and it's not tuning against anything, making it less painful. Make sure you cover it completly or it will still hurt. It might take around a week or so to heal. I hope this helps
