I learned to deal with nightmares by lifting and playing violent video games. I basically have some thing creepy come after me and I slaughter it by ripping it to shreds. Only nightmare I've had in years was my dick being cut off.

I have experienced sleep paralysis and have had 3 encounters with monsters, shadow people or whatever. One where I could see the face, disgusting onion man with a very long nose. Stranger yet other people have experienced a beings with very similar features, I believe old legends of witches, goblins and/or baba yaga are based on them

I have an oddly recurring dream of visiting this strange place that looks exactly like this image. Happens probably once a week.

I'm not sure what it means, but it's always night time there, and it's pleasantly lit with warm colors. However, there are no people in town and it's just me walking up and down the streets. Sometimes I hear ambient sounds like a market nearby that resembles a small crowd of people buying and selling stuff, but overall I never see people.

The dream isn't scary or anything. It's more like a comfy dream. Where the environment is really warm and pleasant to look at and the ambience is nice to hear, but where I don't have to deal with people and can enjoy my own company.

I have a lot of dreams about skinned and disemboweled animals.

In one dream, I saw a beach full of walruses except none of them had skins and their organs were falling out. In the last one, there was a barrel filled with brine and dog skeletons in front of me. I took one out, placed it on the floor, and it started to move and walk about. I remember wondering how it could live with none of its organs. I imagined that it was in a lot of pain and stomped on its head to put it out of its misery.

Yeah I'm paranoid quite often. I keep imagining that at any second some kind of supernatural creature is going to enter my room through some kind of rift into purgatory and claw my eyeballs out or skin me alive. I'm scared that it'll grab me and drag me down into eternal hell and that this universe will erase my existence in all forms. I started seeing a different reflection my head appearing as a giant egg and it scared me so bad I couldn't keep eggs in the house anymore. Sometimes I'm scared of myself because I can feel it in me and it comes out when I get shitting boners. I keep having nightmares that I'm being tortured to death and all I can think of is that I gotta get back home and delete the porn. Some tiny cock goblin with slicked back jew hair followed me and tickled me until I woke up screaming in pain yet I held out to delete the porn. I woke up proud. When I delete my porn, that's when I know I've accepted death.

I have trouble getting to sleep because I'm afraid of sleep paralysis, I will always jolt myself awake until I pass out to get to sleep.

I think this all the time, I'm so glad I'm not the only one. Sometimes I wonder if when I go to sleep I'm dragged to hello and tortured for thousands of years only to wake up "the next day" with no memory of it. And on top of that every time I fall asleep I can remember the previous torture sessions so I'm also forced to live with the agony that I will only enjoy a single day of normality before being dragged back to those intensely painful experiences.

How is it so similar for everyone?

They made a Star Trek: The Next Generation -episode that was essentially what OP described. It's actually a really good one, too, I especially enjoy the beginning where they start figuring out that something has been done to them, because they get violent panic attacks from innanimate objects like scissors and consoles.

The episode is from season 6, I believe. "Schisms" is the name of the episode.
