There is a way out robots. If you genuinely want to heal, if you genuinely want to step out of the comfortable pain, of that familiar sadness, you can. Life won't always be happy, but it won't always be miserable.

My life was, at one point, unrelenting misery. For years. For years just sadness and being alone. But whenever it got to me, whenever I felt like everything was just bearing down on me and I was gonna crumble under the pressure, I said this to myself, I said:

"Change has to happen. It's nature. It's physics. The Law of Thermodynamics states that everything is active, that things naturally want to move towards a point of high randomness. That energy is required to stay the same. It's only natural that things change, that my life changes, that I change. Why waste all this energy. Let go."

And it might be tacky but it worked for me. I didn't invest myself in what I was saying, but I believed it enough to keep going. And things changed. I changed. We can't control how we change, or when, and I know I didn't. Sometimes it's so subtle we can't even tell we've changed, but it happens.

Robots, if you're having a tough time tonight, know that things will change. It's never for the better and it's never for the worse. It's just change. It's impartial. Maybe that's all you need to make things better, maybe it'll push you in the right direction. I don't know.

I just know you guys deserve to know someone out there used to feel like you do, and that now they're feeling better. And if I can make things just a little bit better, you can too maybe.
