In the spirit of sharing obscure and little-known information, I'd like to point out that Elliot most likely posted on /pol/.
There was a thread on May 6, 2014 (not three weeks from the Day of Retribution) where an unhappy male hapa from California went on a tirade about his desire to "destroy" WMAF couples because of the romantic strife his parents' marriage had caused him.
He talks about his wealthy upbringing, his connection to Hollywood (he wrote letters to TV stars) and his hatred of UC Berkeley sorority girls, as well as the fact that his parents divorced and he was living with his stepmom (extremely rare as children of divorcees usually end up with the mother). It's not confirmed to be Elliot but it would have to be one hell of a coincidence for it not to be him.

Honestly, this is the case that made me realize not everything has to be a false flag. I say this as a part-time conspiratard who is usually happy to entertain theories.
The Elliot Rodger false flag theory hinges on sn eyewitness testimony and an early police report both of which say there were 2 people in the BMW. This detail wasn't reflected in the official story which led people to speculate that there was more going on than we knew about.
The thing is, we have reams of documentation and none of them suggest that an accomplice was involved in the attack. My Twisted World and Elliot Rodger's Retribution both lay out the plans and it more or less went the way Elliot planned (at least until he botched it rather hilariously, had to improvise and didn't get his godlike ending atop a mountain of skulls). An accomplice was never part of the plan. It's more likely that those early reports just came from people who were confused by the chaos and didn't get a good luck into the car, which is understandable.
False flag theorists would have you believe that Elliot was never anything more than an actor and everything he ever did, from the forum posts to the videos to the manifesto, was faked to make it believable and push a narrative. But consider that Elliot's online paper trail is as long and meticulous as it is, showing his descent into jealousy and madness as well as all his idiosyncracies developing in real time, and everything about him seems very real. Consider also that he comes from a monied background with a parent with a very public career who considers Elliot a liability to his reputation to this day (Peter Rodger is constantly copyright striking Elliot tributes on youtube).
It's much more likely that Elliot was a genuine case of something we've seen hundreds of times before, a lonely virgin going mad with isolation, only in this case he flat out snapped and went full columbine. It's bound to happen sooner or later, in our world of entropy.

Basically this.
A lot of people here will tell you they find Elliot interesting because they believe he did nothing wrong. Having read his manifesto and watched all his videos, I don't feel this way for a second. Contrasted to other serial killers like Charles Manson, Ted Kaczynski and James Holmes, who left manifestos attributing their killings to the unusual beliefs they had, be them cosmic, political or otherwise, Elliot is not that interesting. His crimes were not that well thought out and his reasoning was selfish and entitled.
For me, what makes Elliot interesting is the huge paper trail he left which makes his descent into madness traceable and palpable. I'm especially fascinated by the fallout his actions have caused in the lives of other people, particularly his father who has talked about it on a few occasions. I can't imagine how Peter Rodger must have felt, having just watched the Retribution video, driving desperately to Elliot's apartment wondering how his son could say those things and fearing for his life, not aware that Elliot had already started his killing spree by the time he left.

You get an Associate's Degree from the 2 year college, most people get it in general education, but you can get an Associate's for certain disciplines like Biology (A.S.) if you already decided you're going to university for a B.S., or English (A.A.) if you plan on getting the B.A. or B.F.A. or whatever - it doesn't matter too much but can get you a leg up before you start taking the junior+senior classes at university.
To be quite honest, if Elliot was 22 and still hadn't come close to getting his Associate's Degree then he wasn't a very bright lad. College was not for him.

The thing is, though, that when I see some of those pictures of Elliot, I can definitely picture him as having the capability of pulling of an "alpha" look.
He had that sort of "entitled asshole" attitude about women that's common to being an alpha.
In his videos, he had the ability to project himself as a pretty calm guy who knows what he wants -- all he would need to do is just stop with the self-pitying whining.
He had money and a pretty decent car. He had reasonable fashion sense in the way the dressed, his hair, etc., and he's semi-attractive enough so that I can definitely picture him with a 5'0" half-asian 6/10 girlfriend if he would have lowered his standards a bit. He had a perpetual look on his face that's kind of like: "Yeah I know I've got big pouty lips -- so whatcha gonna do about it, fucker?", which he could use to his advantage to project a confident image.
In reading his writings, he seemed smart enough so that he should have been able to tone down the autism stuff, and just simply play the role of the "silent, brooding alpha type", which basically entails just keeping his mouth shut and saying short crisp sentences every once in a while like "hey, you wanna hang?" with an attitude that conveys that he really couldn't give a shit if you wanted to hang or not. (People with money can get away with that.) That's not a particularly hard role to play.
I think he had all the raw material to avoid the wizard life, but he just didn't have the discipline and focus to use all the natural advantages that he was born with.
