True, but like I said, the lottery is a completely random, objective occurrence. The reason I play even in the face of ridiculous odds is because I know that there is a timeline in which I do win the lottery, and I will continue to push for that until it happens. But believe me, I have tried all sorts of praying, meditating and visualizing, and they did nothing- similar to Elliot's accounts of trying to use the law of attraction and new age quantum pseudoscience to manifest winning the jackpot.

But from someone who spent 2 years, 40-50 hours a week selling powerball/megamillion/ etc many many times a day, (we let people scratch and gamble in the store so we were known as a good store to do that stuff)
Youll never win. Honestly scratch offs seem like the better choice, becauss at least youll have better odds of winning more then $1-$3. Multiple people (usually retired) spent $100 a week on powerball, and theyd be extremely lucky to win $20
