The early 2000s was the best time of my life. I use modern technology but still listen to songs from that time. Nostalgia :)

I always browse around the years 2000-2006.
I think we've reached the point where early 2000s stuff is somewhat cringey to me. I can still appreciate it in a nostalgic sort of way, but aside from some of the music, I can't look at most anything from that time period without feeling a tad embarrassed. There was that early 2000s lolsorandom xD internet sense of humor - and all those early memes, like leetspeak. It's like the digital equivalent to bell bottoms.
And also the video games. Can't believe I forgot, but early 2000's were actually a great time for vidya, for the most part.
born in 95 here, so the best years of my childhood were early-mid 2000's
>sitting back and feeling to late 90's to early 2000's emo
Cap n' Jazz and Brand New are great bands

Social Media and casual gamers make most thing look comfy by comparison mind you

I used to listen to a lot of early-mid 00's indie rock and it took me a while to realize that I really needed to move on and "discover" new artists already.
>When you don't wanna live to see how bland and boring the 2020s will be
>when you don't wanna see the "2010s nostalgia" culture because this decade was boring as shit especially 2014 and on.
God dammit Russia make a war so I can get drafted and die already
okay what the flying fuck is going on
i feel like i've seen this exact thread at least 2 times before, same OP, same responses
I too live in the early 2000s still. No new music since 2010 and I still identify as emo but say I'm now a retired emo. I got to meet the leader singer j.t. from hawthorn heights last year tho so I've completed my emo checklist for life.

Late 90's to early 00's were a great time for games. Red Alert 2, Warcraft 3, Starcraft, Diablo, HOMM3, GTA 3/Vice City, Age of Empires, NFS Underground, Counter Strike, Half Life, Quake 3, Unreal Tournament, Worms Armageddon.

EARLY 2000s WAS THE BEST FOR PC SHOOTERS EVER. and cant forget the modding community during this time was big on TOTAL conversions and not just endless add-ons to the existing game
>half life 2
> far cry
>counter strike: source
>battlefield 1942
>battlefield 2
>unreal tournament 2004
my personal favorite is the eve of destruction mod for bf1942. this was released before battlefield vietnam was announced and even before desert combat was released. it had SO much potential but was stunted early on. the current version is still massively fun, but even after many updates you can tell the mod is just a taste of what it could have been.

At least the Doom community seems to still be doing this.

I loved it too. Wish I could get back, if not for the fear of viruses.
>CRT TV
Got one in my room, too bad my desktop screen is flatscreen.

Shit me too. I have a huge obsessions for the 70s/80s/90s. I sometimes watch news broadcasts or TV shows from those eras.
Everything pre-2001 and pre-2008 looked so good, so civil, so nice, even though best time personally was around 2011-2013.
>>37195797
it used to be so easy to make friends and be part of a community. nowadays people can't get along unless they have some ulterior motive (sex, networking, etc.)
We're reaching the time when 90's nostalgia is transitioning to 00's nostalgia.
>>37200519
I truly believe after 2006 things lost their way. Smartphones+social media derailed fucking everything.
>>37200641
I still have more nostalgia for the 90s, but early 2000s is still very interesting to me simply because of how short-lived the culture/aesthetic was.
>>37200641
Nah, 80s nostalgia is fading away and 90s nostalgia is in.
Next decade it'll transition to 00s.
In the 2030s, shit, will we even have nostalgia for this shitty decade?

2000s aesthetic? Please tell me more.
