I might be in Japan next year if this private scholarship thing works out. My original plan was to get my associate's from community college, get bachelor's at state college, then transfer into Japan on student loan. However, an anon on /int/ pointed me to a private scholarship that I might be able to get, and would allow me to jump straight to Japan after communicy college, we'll see how that goes

I'm nineteen so I guess I have plenty of time to think about my desires. It won't be easy though.

"Opportunity cost" is failing to seize a choice you didn't know you had, and "opportunity cost" is the hardest part about reaching your dream. There might be a shortcut, but the problem is finding it..

Obviously, i'd rather be there next year than 3-4 years from now.

You actually don't. You think you do, but you don't . If you're not sure what your dream is, enlist in the military right now. You'll get out at 25 and have a free bachelor's degree with no loans attached. That's plenty of time for you to figure your dream out.
