>university student
>zero work experience
>get declined from every minimum wage job
>will have to do volunteer work to be CONSIDERED for any minimum wage job
>all this effort to get a mcdicks job that pays u 7 dollars an hour

what went wrong?

can we just go back to the 50s where you could work a grocery store job and support a family plus a house.
>>
>>37020309
whatcha studying, anon?
>>
>>37020309
Hahaha just move to where the work is OP xd
>>
>>37020309
Nah, McJobs will hire literal retards and high school kids with absolutely no experience.

When you say "every minimum wage job" you mean that you applied online to like three places that weren't looking to hire.
>>
Check out if any places near you have job fairs going on. Some of those places are looking to fill part-time/seasonal vacancies and may hire anyone with a pulse.
>>
>>37020309

Fast food hires pretty much anyone though. You have to be fucking yourself up on purpose to not get those jobs.
>>
>>37020309
yo, waste management is a good company. they'll hire anyone who can pass a piss test and isn't on a suspended license and may even get you a CDL cert, and all you're doing is pulling levers all day for health benefits and like 13/hr for 12 hours. it's not bad.
>>

>>37020466
These. OP's probably larping or is a literal retard.
>>
>>37020417
i wish it was only three anon. Ive applied to 4 alone today that are hiring on Indeed.
>>
Go to KFC, ask for application, fill out, hand in. There you go you fucktard.
>>
>>37020525
What kind of jobs did you apply to

Why don't you apply in person

What does your resume look like

This is your problem anon, you're living in the past while all the opportunities are in the present!

Get yourself a wacom tablet, draw fetish heavy shit and charge like 25 bucks a pop, doesn't need to be quality, just fetish heavy, and also, don't spend more than 2 hours per piece.

Alternatively, if you have some experience with any rudimentary game engine, make a fetish heavy porn game, advertise it in western porn game website/board, launch a patreon and gull the money straight out of desperate virgins on a monthly basis.

Alternatively, if you have a passably slim body and androgynous face, buy a pair of knee socks, some makeups, learn off a few makeup tutorials on jewtube and have retards tipping you over jerking off in front of a camera, you utter faggot.

Getting an keeping a job was so much easier in the 50's.

How to keep a Job - 1949: https://archive.org/details/HowtoKee1949

Notice that they were wiring for entry level positions, no experience required.
Notice how they take the time to train people, and promote them from the entry level positions once they've learned new skills, freeing up positions for new entry level employees.

People used to start in the mail room, and work their way up into top levels of management, over a lifetime spent working for the same company.

enter the military, get a low-end job there and you're fine.

mostly retail jobs and restaurant jobs, my resume just has my course work. I have tried applying in person and they always tell me to go online. The other day i went to Harris teeter, subway, food lion, Walgreen and all of them told me they do their application process online.

I also applied to two IT tech positions on campus as IT is my major. I have gotten my resume reviewed by our career center on campus.

fuck living in a small college town in the south.

>>37020753
big franchises will tell you to go online but local bullshit restaurants and stores will totally and happily take your resume in person

It's cool how everyone in the 1940s became the top levels of management

Well, it's clear at this point, you are a bunch of morons, no wonder you can't secure an entry-level job.
>>
Literally make up jobs and set people you know as your references.

If you plan on making up jobs, you might want to request a copy of your work history from Equifax first, and make sure that there aren't any conflicts.

Fill out this form and send it in; you can get a free report per year. http://www.theworknumber.com/Employees/DataReport/report_request.pdf

Here's a sample report, showing the types of data they provide to employers: http://www.theworknumber.com/samples/The-Work-Number-Employment-Data-Report-EFX-WS-0205-11-21-14.pdf

They're tied into the automated applicant tracking systems at most companies, so if you don't match what they have on file, no human will ever see your application.

How you approach university.

You gotta do all the grindy shit in university too. The volunteering, the shitty part time jobs, volunteering IN the university as that counts as experience, internships etc.
>>
>>37020309
Kek, welcome to the real world lad, I hit the exact same wall you did and I hit it hard.

I got lucky though and managed to roll into an IT traineeship. If you're not a complete retard, you can try getting into one of those. All they usually ask for is dedication.
>>
Generally I find that people who keep getting declined from jobs are going for the comfy jobs too soon. They're not broadening their range and they're going for something they just can't get yet. They need that 1 year experience anywhere but they gotta open themselves up to something they may not like.
