Question for 21 year olds of /r9k/: when you think "childhood", do you relate more to the stuff on the left side, or the stuff on the right side?

LETSS BEYBLADE

I'm 19 and still left
>>
definitely the left side
>>
Left
I was already pretty much a teenager by the time half the shit on the right started
>>

Are there people old enough to post here that had a wii on their childhood?

20 here and PS1 was my childhood not PS2
>>
I'm 20, but also Britbong, so might affect answer.

Defiantly the left-side. i dont really consider smart phones apart of my child for example, since blackberry phones were the norm in my area until around 2012
>>
>>36996622
Wii came out in 2006 so you could hypothetically very well have had it in your childhood, if you weren't seemingly a poorfag
>>
>>36996632
were not the norm until*
>>
>>36996562
>Spongebob
Yes
>Recess
Yes
>Rune Scape
No
>Ps2
Yes and no
>Tamagotchi
Yes
>Beyblade
No
>Gundam Win
Yes
>Yugioh
Fuck YES

>Everything else
No

On the right
Just Chowder, such a great show
>>
Why the hell do you keep making this thread?

I've seen it on multiple boards.
>>
>>36996644
I have had one since I was 12
But that's definitely not my childhood
>>
>>36996695
No beyblade? Who hurt you as a child? Mother or father?

>Johnny Test popular ever

OP, is this bait?
>>
>>36996488
My first console was SNES so yeah, left one. Nothing on the right one.
>>
I mean the left is certainly more of what my actual childhood was, but I'm honestly more nostalgic of some of the shows on the right like flapjack, chowder, and adventure time. Even though I was in 8th grade when that shit was first airing, they were still some of the best shows cartoon network has ever produced in my opinion. And it still represents a simpler time for me. I didnt have any friends towards the end of middle school and I enjoyed just loafing around my house watching tv and eating shit
>>
20. Moreso the left than the right, only things on the right I actually watched/owned/etc. was a playstation 3

I stopped a few weeks into playing old runescape unfortunately I never got into that or WoW or any other MMO. I regret not getting to experience the "glory days"
>>
>>36996488
Neither
It was mostly NES/PS1
and some SNES too.
TV was cops and the news.
>>
>>36996784
Both :'^(

Their divorce was hard for a 7yo

I consider myself somewhat successful, but I would be an astronaut by now if they stayed together
>>
>>36996488
Definitely left.
Except for Runescape as it wasn't as popular where I lived. Also my first console was a SEGA Genesis because I was poor, then PS1 and N64 (in that order for some reason) and then a PS2.

So the generations culture comes after the generation has been around. Gen Z and definetly left.
>>
>>36996556
18 and left, too
>>

>So the generations culture comes after the generation has been around.
Yeah definitely

I was born 1996, which is either the first or second year of Gen Z depending on source. Most of the shit I grew up with was Gen Y stuff though, because marketers take a while to re-shift their focus and sell new junk to you.

That's because you're still a millennial. The guy who invented the term millennial says if you're born before 2004, you're a millennial.

>I was born 1996, which is either the first or second year of Gen Z depending on source

Stop thinking you're not a snowflake, you snowflake.
>>
Ofc left, are you dumb? Unless youre a literal manchild the answer is always left for the age you posted
>>
OP is someone who works for an advertising company or something and is looking to figure out how to market to gen Z.

I experienced the old days of Runescape in 2004 and WoW in 2005. Have been playing both on/off to this day, probably 1500 days of playtime combined. I am actively playing Runescape as I type this. Don't feel bad, you didn't miss anything special. You just miss your youth. Other people only talk about the "glory days" because it happened to coincide with their youthful years.

I don't really give a shit what some random asshole says. The creator of GIF says its "jif" but that isn't how a fucking acronym works.
