I have no friends in my class either but met one from gaming society. It's not bad to play with him to kill time but at the end of the day, I feel like I'm just wasting my time with him and would prefer to be left alone. If he was an online friend, I would have blocked and deleted all contact from him long ago.

This is right sad. I remember being just like you, I had no friends from 5th to 11th grade and I thought this way. And then I manned up and realised that it's nobody's fault but mine. Also the metaphor makes sense, in both situations the only way you'll get anywhere is by putting work into it. Not many things just fall into your lap like you think it does for normies.

You mere peasant, a lovely gentleman and even a young woman have both tried to befriend me in that same amount of time. Of course neither succeeded but I pride myself on the very fact.
