Have any of you guys ever considered setting up an experimental little camp for some rodents or guinea pigs or the like? I've considered creating a camp for some kind of rodent, preferably the most intelligent of the bunch, and running a eugenics program to keep me busy.
You know, create the strongest and smartest rodents ever to live. Is this kind of thing even legal? I've been considering it for years and finally have the money to set one up. Just a thing to keep me busy, I guess.
I don't think they're gonna get all that smart, anon. They're rodents.
Well I've always wanted to clone myself and give my clones biological upgrades like enhanced strength, speed, intelligence, etc., and have everybody get in big fights to see how it turns out. Then we'd try to take down countries of increasing scale for fun until we either all got killed or destroyed civilization.

I wanted to do that with primates, specifically people. I'd breed out undesirable traits and slowly breed for desirable ones. They'd be strong, smart, and empatehtic too the point that they wouldn't be human anymore.. Then I'd glass the planet and let them inherit what I stole. It'd be interesting to see how they'd interact with surviving humans.
Sure, just make sure nobody find out or you'll probably get sued into oblivion, you will probably get bored halfway through and end up with dozens of undesirable mice/mice food/ cages etc

I'd manipulate their empathy and enslave them.
I can't even manage to take care of myself properly. I don't want to be responsible for the life of another creature.

just do a garden
You're just going to end up with about 10,000 fucking mice OP.
You'd need a massive amount of mice to start with just to be able to isolate a breeding sized population of that top 10% or whatever. Then you'd run into problems with genetic diversity in that top 10% eventually and need to create another elite class of mice to diversify the gene pool of the master race mice.
Unless you plan to do this for about 20 years and actually have some education in how selective breeding works beyond the layman shit you know, I'd say it's a really fucking retarded idea.
I'm curious as to how far you could take it though so I hope there's at least one person autistic enough out there to try it. I mean if you have enough time and enough mice you could probably force them into evolving into a whole new species.
