Cypro is probably the best AA as far as killing your T and transitioning goes. Each AA has different side effects you would have to look into. Each AA works a little differently but mostly you will get the same results. Cypro isn't approved by the FDA but if you're diy you can order hormones from EU so you can get cypro that way. Also if your doctor is ok with it he can give you a prescription for cypro and you can fill it online and get it sent to your house. I actually can't help you with the bloodwork thing though since I just go to the informed consent clinic. You can ask about the bloodwork thing on /lgbt/ and I'm sure they could help you with that.
