Depends on the board and the content.

Mods tend to be very sensitive to animal abuse, which will almost always result in a ban.

Gore from violence or accidents, ie physical injuries, may either be simply removed or result in a ban, it depends on how severe is the gore, and whether or not the explicit intention of posting was to derail the thread or otherwise disrupt the board. Violent gore from, say, Mexican cartels, is likely to be removed.

Physical deformities, say, someone born with an extra arm or something, are almost never removed regardless of how gorey they may be. This category could include abortions as well, almost never removed, very unlikely to result in a ban.
