PSX is an internal codename used in ROM headers and it appears in some industry magazines and on emu sites. However, that is not the name of the console, and NOBODY has EVER colloquially referred to the Playstation as "pee ess ecks" in the entire course of human history. It's similar to how the internal name of the Wii is Revolution, and all of the games have RVL in their production codes. If you asked anyone that didn't have an autistically intimate knowledge of games consoles what a Pee Ess Ecks or a Revolution is they wouldn't have a clue.
