>there are people younger than you who are rich and famous and live better lives than you
>people who have spent less time on this earth than you have advanced themselves farther than you ever will
how do you cope?
it makes me a bit bitter. i'm doing okay for myself but seeing those 15-20 yo on youtube who make 100-1mil per year off videos gets me salty

it's incredibly rare to make more than 40,000 a year on youtube from my understanding.
Even if you're pulling millions of hits.

Try being 33. You can find a plethora of celebrities younger than that.

that doesn't line up with what i've been seeing. even small channels 200k or so seem to have it as a full time job and channel owners with over 3mil subs tend to own nice homes in LA

With this mindset how do you cope with anyone being better than you at all? There are people who are born with a net worth of literally billions of dollars, like Bill Gates' kids. From the time that they are literally 1 day old they've already made it farther than 99% of the human population ever will in their decades long lives. No matter how good your life is, someone will always have a much better life than you. If you're happiness only comes from comparing yourself to others then you will never be happy.

Yeah, well, some of them end up dead before they hit 40 too.

You can literally do nothing about it'. Better to better yourself and get yourself there eventually than to sit and sulk about it.

Never underestimate parental assistance

doesn't it rumble your roots more if you knew people who grew up in the same exact conditions as you but achieved a lot more?

I wistfully recall a time when I was young enough that I could pretend that was what upset me.
I was simmering inside because I hadn't succeeded at a young enough age, it still might happen, though. No worries.
Now I know that's untrue and am on to the next bullshit paradigm that keeps me on the treadmill.
