Is it a bad idea to sell my ps2? I really need the money because I currently don't even really have a pair of shoes I have ones with holes in them and my clothes are getting shitty too and I wanna use the money to buy a new pair of shoes. The only reason I haven't yet is because I don't know if they'll be worth more in the future or not. I can probably get a steal on the price because I live in a small town where Craigslist isn't used much and I always have an easy time selling electronics on it for a higher price than on amazon or eBay and people buy them fast.
I just really don't want to sell it if it's gonna worth more in the future and I eventually want to buy the dot hack sign games and replay them also.
At the end of the day you're going to have to make the cost/benefit decision
PS2s probably aren't going to increase in price dramatically for a long ass time since they're so abundant, so it depends on what software you have.
Personally, I value videogames a lot so I would advise against it and see if theres anything else you can let go of but it sounds like you're in a pretty rough spot to begin with.
I do hear people saying things like regretting that the sold all their legos and stuff like that tho

well if your pc is good enough you can just emulate the games im sure

Emulating is lame.
Vastly inferior to playing on the real thing.
Go to a free clothsplace. They will have free shoes. Ask a church. Look at Thrift store.

They're not going to go up much. There's 150 million of them and they're a mid 2000s electronics that were simply a popular console, it didn't really do anything new or interesting, and it doesn't really have nostalgic appeal.
It's like holding onto a third generation ipod classic for fucks sake.
