The thing about trades is that it takes awhile to kick in.

Until you are a 3rd year apprentice you won't be making shit, in about 5 year metal shops are gonna lose alot of people to retirement.

It's a dying trade, stick with it. You're gonna learn alot that will be more useful than money.

Look at it this way you are being paid in both money and know how, passed down from the very first metal workers in your country improving with each generation.
