Now, due to how these things work, Discord is pretty mainstream, it is the skype or MSN of this generation and isn't just for games anymore.

I'm 22 and I know this, if you don't you're either much older or fucking braindead.

I don't use discord, but I know what it is.

It's basically IRC with image sharing. It became popular because it's free and easy to use, and ties in with video games. After that it's just a network effect. It's incredibly shitty though, all the worst and most dramatic people go there. It's like if all of the tripfags on 4chan gathered up in one place and all turned out to be 15-17 years old with a taste for "ironic memes."

Probably because all leet pros like myself and my colleagues still use teamspeak and irc and have no need to switch.

I'll admit the whole being able to paste a link and having it grant join permission is nice, but it's not a feature we salty mad vets need. Already know everybody.
