maybe try to ask her out or something? chances are you're going to be incredibly nervous and scared regardless of asking for her number or asking her to go out (at least i'd be for sure) but at i think that doing the latter justifies being scared

no communication really, I don't really talk to anyone unless they try to talk to me

She used to go out of her way all the time to try to get my attention and talk to me.

She'd do shit like walk over to where I am sitting and ask "Is anyone sitting here?" "Can I sit next to you?". I'd always let her do it but I'd just sit there and say absolutely nothing while she smiled at me every time I looked in her direction. I think she started doing that because I accidentally sat next to her once during some banquet thing asked if I could sit there. I wasn't flirting or anything but I think she must have taken it that way.

It hasn't happened in a month or so though. Might be because she has given up. Last time she sat right next to me and sighed. She hasn't made anymore moved since then.

If she says yes ask for her number so you can set it up. If she says no then don't ask for her number, be all "Yeah, no problem. Sorry again" and just walk off. See if that makes her sit with you again. You've kind of put yourself in a tough situation here.

Don't set yourself up with a stressful pass/fail situation like asking her for a phone number or date. She talks to you so talk to her.
