It was stuff like having the oldest kid break his toys and start a physical fight with him, and then yelling at him when he tried to get some privacy in the washroom. Just constant verbal threats and yelling and borderline abusive physical violence that often went over the line. In one video the kid got sent home with a note and bandage over his arm because he was so nerous and fucked up that he developed a nervous tick where he would scratch his arm, and he has scratched his arm bloody and raw. The dad yelled at him and filmed it and that was another prank. Another one of the videos the older kid just totally slams him right on the wooden floor and the dad is just like STOP MAKING NOISE and that's another prank.

Having been gas lit by my own parents in worse ways seeing them laughing after and giving gifts would of just seemed like it was intended to be a sick joke instead of a malicious act since my experience wasn't anywhere near as friendly, and a lot more demeaning since the only people you can really go to for help in life is your family.. When they are just hostile fucks to you it just opens up old wounds, and hurts your pride a lot more being desperate enough having to turn to ask for help from them. So if anything the kids are probably lucky to get away from it while it wasn't intended to be mean it's not like they were ever going to stop acting that way toward them.

My dad kicked me out of his house after me and my friend made obscene calls to 911 from a payphone. I lived with my mom who I always loved but she did a shit job of taking care of me. My Stepdad was an asshole too. But anything was better than being abused. I was fucked up from everything that happened but for the first time since I was a small child I had legit happiness in my life. A parent that doesn't do shit is better than one that subjects you to abuse. If I never got out I would probably be a fucking school shooter.
