Yeah I've never understood that normie skill. I wish I could talk well enough to make conversation flow. And if I somehow think of something interesting to say it's always like 5 minutes after the moment has passed.

My vocal chord muscles are super weak from not talking for 10+ years as well. My voice is gone after speaking for a few minutes. I'm in my 30's by the way.

I feel ya op. Social anxiety/awkwardness or even just not talking to people often can make it so you have word salad but with practice comes skills. Just gotta try and chill and speak what comes to your mind. I know its tough but it'll happen. Or if you absolutely can't then get meds or smoke weed/drink

eliminating self esteem helps ironically, once you think intimate shitty things to yourself on a regular basis it becomes increasingly unlikely that anyone will say anything that will really hurt you. Beyond that it's mostly social cues like when you say something dumb or mildly autistic and everyone stops talking for a second or you can feel you own pessimism seeping into the mood of a room and have to change the subject.
