You are not that fucked. It does not take that much to get decent at running. I get a perfect score on the AF PFA every time and I'm not even that fit. Just run and do push ups regularly and you'll be passing within a couple months.

Once upon a time, I actually tried to go ROTC. Spent a year trying to get my 2 mile time under 16 minutes, but never managed it. I often wonder how my life would have been different if I didn't have shin splints.

Getting 300 isn't even hard step up fatty. I enlisted with a SEAL contract and made it all the way through to jump where I fucked my shit up on an incline and got discharged. They won't let me reenlist yet but as soon as I can I'm going back.

The stress really fucked my thought process. I was a few weeks in, doing alright, passed PT tests, then I get fucking panic attacks somehow and I convinced myself to go to medical for a discharge.
Coast Guard btw. They play a lot of fuck fuck mind games and companies are very small so CC's are on a first name basis and recognize everyone's faces very quickly.
