>in The Sims, if a child sim does poorly in school for long enough, he or she will go to military school FOREVER with no chance of redemption
This always spooked me as a kid, especially since the parent basically forgets the child exists.

>system fails child
>child conscripted to die for system
I would always pause and build a wall around the kid before the social worker showed up so the kid would die

One time I made a super rich character and called him Patrick Bateman. He would get very friendly with people and invite them over. Then he would take them on a tour of the home. The last stop would be the basement. In the basement the guest would be forced into their cell. Each cell had all the things a Sim needed to live. Only they were all so depressed from being kidnapped they refused to eat or sleep and they all died in their cell. My mom found out what I was doing and banned me from playing the Sims. She said it was not right.

Luckily my parents weren't like this

Literally played any game I wanted provided it wasn't AO. My mom just didn't like it because she thought it was too psychopathic. She said that's not how you play the Sims. She said it wasn't a serial killer simulator.
