I have a Bachelor's of Science in Finance. Where is she at? What's she studying? Thanks for those numbers, I didn't look at any of the links. The math comes out to about $71,500 per school. Although it does depend on how many of those schools are in-state, it's highly unlikely she was offered a full ride to even two-thirds of the schools she was accepted into. And knowing where she's from and the general lack of competition there, the purpose of all those applications was definitely to show off.

On the other hand, where I'm from the quality of education is generally very good. Most students will apply to 8-12 schools because they've got their dream schools, safe schools, close-to-home schools, etc. I only finished the applications to two schools, and I didn't bother finishing my third application once I got early acceptance into my preferred school.
