I have bad substance abuse problems, but I'm not an addict yet since I'm really careful. I can't function normally or hold down normal jobs substance abuse or not anyway, because of untreated mental illness.

I'm a total addict but I never dropped out of school or lost a job due to it, which is surprising since I've been to the hospital five times as a result of acute alcohol intoxication. How did you lose your job OP? Did you just stop coming in?
