That's not true. He just hates that atheism removed religion and didn't replace it with anything.
There is objectively negative behavior like promiscuity which religion handled by threating you with hell. Atheism and nihilism following from it didn't deliver a good explanation for why it's bad it simply told to do whatever feels nice who cares.
This is what he bemoans and it's very recent also. I've been watching his videos for 6 years now and he was always very harsh on religion until maybe a year or two ago.
