The game is based on old school hard rpgs like wizardry. You go through a first person labyrinth and you die a lot.

>classes from first column (top to bottom)

landsknecht: melee physical damage
fortress: tank

>second column
medic: healer
sniper: ranged physical with support skills

>third column
dancer: dedicated buff support class, improves everyone else at what they do
nightseeker: debuff / status inflict specialist, also does good damage
bushi: berserker /risky heavy physical damage dealer

>fourth column
runemaster: ranged elemental damage dealer (mage)
arcanist: support mage/healer that buffs or debuffs
imperial: stalling damage dealer, spends many turns setting up huge damage

Please don't watch the upcoming Dark Tower flick with Idris Elba before you've read the complete series. It's a bastardization of King's lore and narrative. Any critical reader whose seen the leaked trailer would tell you the same. The characters, tone, chronology... pretty much everything is utterly trash in it. So you'll want your experience with this world to be as it was originally meant.
