Yeah, it will certainly help. Whatever you choose to do you will be able to focus on for like 6 hours straight. I know a few people who use it to write essays etc.
Do not abuse it though, it'll fuck you up. And make sure you're studying - my brother's friend at uni took it while browsing Amazon and he was on Amazon all day, just looking at products.

when people say it's addictive, do they mean it's actually addictive and you'll keep coming back to it just for the fuck of it? or do they mean you'll keep using it everytime you find yourself unable to study/focus?
if it's the latter, I don't view it as harmful 'addiction' and more like appropriate usage.

that said it is literally amphetamines so... yeah, there's a physical addictive component too
in my own experience i've mostly taken it "for fun" i.e. the wrong way, and i've never felt like i needed more after or anything
