I don't play too much. Only won 90 competitive matches.
Today I woke up at 5. Played one game of demo waiting for a ban to pass because I accidentally shot a teammate in the foot the day before.
I then browsed /britfeel/ but stayed on longer than usual because of the election. Just played a single competitive match that had a hungarian, two russians and a vietnamese on my team. It was not fun
>>

>>36682984
Election? What?

Am I missing something?

Think I've had a decent day on CS:GO tbf. Been mostly doing nova office runs, shotguns are surprisingly OP.

Bans on CS are pretty brutal. The master art is trolling a teammate until they TK you enough so they get banned. Longest ban I've got someone was 30 days.
>>
>>36683058
Longest I've managed was 7 days.
We had a makeshift election but I sided with the lad who posts Sophie Turner and that made half the waifu posters turn against me. I was against Sexy Kev too so I couldn't really win. The votes were clearing rigged though but I'm not too fussed.

Clearly too much of a newfag to remember when our threads were getting deleted on sight because of behaviour like this.

One of the reasons we have such a prolific general is because we respect the bump limit, making new threads at FUCKING 420 posts is moronic, even making one at 490 is a risk. Don't be shocked if both threads get deleted now.

good luck tilde, i'll be thinking of you while I sleep all day, have fun wagies

at least Tesco stays open till 10pm and doesn't shut early so I can MAYBE go outside and buy some cereal when i wake up. big maybe, was too frightened to go to my car yesterday because there were too many people in the street
>>
Okay I need to stay up until at least 12pm today so I'm at least going to sleep in the afternoon.

Then I'll naturally slip down into the top tier comfy sleep time of 5pm during the week.

Here's the power rankings of what hours are best to go to bed by the way.

God Tier:
Between 4 and 7pm.

You get to be awake during the real nigga hours of the morning but without the guilt of knowing you should be sleeping. You can also function as a human being when sleeping at this time

High tier:
After 7pm but before 12am.

Going to sleep too late to really experience the real nigga hours of the early morning here, but you get to wake up maybe a few hours before the average person and get the genuine "morning feeling"

Mid tier:
After 12am but before 6am

You get to experience the real nigga hours however you're going to either be waking up sleep deprived or a lot later in the day than you should be. You'll look like a neet waste of space or you'll suffer a shitty start to the day because of this.

Low tier:
After 12pm but before 4pm.

Going to sleep in the early afternoon. Really fucking weird, might be hard to sleep since everyone else is at the peak of their day. Cannot function as a non-neet with this. Your body may end up very confused and wake up after only a few hours due to noise and other factors.

Shit tier:
Going to sleep between 6am and 12pm

Oh shit nigga what are you doing. You've gone too far again haven't you? Time to take drastic measures to fix that body clock because this is the dumbest and least functional time to be going to bed for just about everyone.

I will concede that when I stayed up till 5/6pm that it was a comfy sleep hour, sometimes feels bad waking up at midnight though. I prefer waking up when its getting chill at 5pm tbqh. Daytime just sucks when your a NEET though
>>

infact I've got to spend money so I don't go over the money limit when they stop giving you bennies. I'm too scared to drive mostly so the petrol costs are nothing, at least I'm collecting no claims bonus

>i'll be thinking of you while I sleep all day, have fun wagies

>>
>>36687675

>Tfw trying to fix your body clock and every single minute feels like an hour

But then when your bodyclock is normal you can accidentally shitpost yourself into sleeping 5 hours after you meant to go to sleep.
>>

>>
>>36687617

>>
>>36687731
>>36687768
I don't do or enjoy anything. I'm just existing. Comfy in theory or for the first few years but you just lose interest and hope in everything eventually. At least a job makes you appreciate your free time (at least thats what I tell myself)

I'm trying to progress out of neet though
>>
>>36687768
The first couple of months of JSA you can mostly arse around and they wont bother you too much. How are you surviving with no money?
>>
>>36687605

I nearly thought I was going to starve because my bodyclock is fucked up and it's a bank holiday weekend.

So for two days straight my nearest sanibury's has shortened opening hours, those hours I happen to be asleep.

However I checked and they stayed open until 11pm yesterday so I managed to actually get some food when I woke up at 7pm.

I always cringe at posts like this. You say you're in good shape, I'm almost certain you'll mention something in your profile about how successful you are...why wouldn't somebody message you? Not everybody is some predatory fuck up looking for someone to support them - perhaps she just thinks you're really hot?

It just seems really bitter that you're judge her in that way. Just ignore the message and be pleased that your life has worked out to the point where you can now choose the person you want to be with.

A lot of people here work shit jobs. I've worked a lot of zero-hour contracts and it's all I can find aside from shitty retail at minimum wage, the ban on zero hours and the increased minimum wage will allow me to live outside of poverty as I didn't go to university and have no experience so all the "decent" jobs I can never land...

Well, with the tories it's an argument of business growth v.s. consumer spending. The theory goes that the higher the minimum wage, the slower business growth is, so slower job creation, more people on the dole etc.. Labour will argue that on the flip side, with more money in people's pockets, consumer spending increases and businesses see an increase in turnover so will grow no matter what.

Generally speaking, Britain remains fairly low in terms of productivity growth, which is largely fueled by long term investments in infrastructure and new, more efficient technology. Since the 2008 crisis we've flatlined on productivity, in some areas going backwards simply to get work (think hand carwashes springing up when we had automatic car washes for 20 years).

I doubt this is going to get any better as companies hold out on any large investments until Brexit resolves itself, and whether we're at a productivity level currently that can handle a minimum wage increase is debatable, but given that overall wage growth became uncorrellated with productivity since the late 70s, and that executive pay has exceeded all other wage growth, I'm inclined to say that the lower half of the pyramid has been starved of investment for the aggrandizement of the top and that some form of downward investment is going to be inevitable in order to keep the economy from going belly-up.

This explains it all very well. The conservative argument that I didn't understand was that higher minimum wage would slow business growrth.. but they neglect to consider that their sales could improve with more money in people's pockets as a result of higher wages.

I agree that we need investment in this country, the only jobs I can find are minimum wage retail and call centres, dodgy self-employed care jobs and door-to-door marketing (never again for both).

What are ways the country can invest to increase quality and quantity of jobs?

One thing I don't know about with the minimum wage increase is where the money then goes - we've fucked ourselves in some ways by allowing the UK to become a captive consumer to international interests. If we get a minimum wage increase, but then all our cash goes to amazon, apple, e.on energy, arriva trains, etc., how much of it actually stays in the UK? We become reliant on the efficiency of our corporate tax system - which as I understand it is completely dependent on there being the political will to actually enforce it. Are the Tories going to make these international companies pay their taxes? I fucking doubt it.

A minimum wage increase on it's own, I simply think will fuck small to medium sized domestic businesses. It has to come with more robust arrangements to hold international businesses accountable.

You have forgotten about VAT. If we spend more as a result of more wages, VAT will increase on spending even on foreign companies.

I agree that we need to make foreign companies pay corporation tax though, Labour seems to be the ones who've discussed that clearly, but haven't done so far in the election. Making foreign companies pay corporation tax would make our country incredibly more well-off because we are a huge bulk of the market share for these multinationals.

>>36692912
Uhm, I think a lot of people think Corbyn has a chance. The "Corbyn can't be elected" meme is lazy, just because he's suffered a lot of personal attacks because of his principled views doesn't make him unelectable.

Most of the Tory gains from last election were due to SNP's success (which looks like it will be reversed this election due to strong campaigning from Labour and a move to the left which is where Scotland's heart lies) and because of their unclear and weak campaigining under Milliband. However this time around Corbyn and Labour's message is very clear and they are fully-costing all of their proposals.. I think these Tory and SNP gains from last time which were VERY close in percentages can easily be lost in Labour's favour under Corbyn

The Scottish Labour Party is to the right of the SNP. Kezia Dugdale is a Blairite.

Corbyn is seen as just another London politician. It would take a lot to reverse Labour's decline in Scotland. An English guy pontificating from down south isn't going to do it.

Corbyn is the most left leader Labour has had for a long, long time. Scottish people are very left-leaning and due to this combination and Labour campaigning more intensively in Scotland than they have for many years, (they used to take it as a given that Scotland would vote for them) I expect some gains from Labour at SNP's expense.

There's no debate between left and right in Scotland though.

The political debate is independence vs. unionism.

On that front, Corbyn doesn't offer anything different than Miliband. You're making a mistake if you think that Labour is seen is further to the left than the SNP, even under Corbyn. It's the local party leadership that makes the difference. No one in Scotland gives two fucks about Corbyn.

Exactly. He has completely failed at opposing the government. He just goes along with everything they propose. He was an outsider candidate who promised radical change and radical action, but in reality he is just as wet and insipid as Ed Miliband.

I'm saying for a lot of people Labour's move to the left under Corbyn will be important. Obviously Independence vs Unionism is very important already, but it's divisive, the refereundum narrowly lost, lost like brexit. Where Scotland is not divided is its left-leaning electorate.

Corbyn hasn't been meek, have you seen PMQs recently? Or seen his speeches since the general election? There's a lot of seats where they were in 2nd place in the last election.

Berwickshire, Roxburgh and Selkirk only needs a 0.30% swing to go to the tories.

I'm not saying the Tories will do well in Scotland but they'll gain more than Labour.

No point arguing with him mate, Corbyn could be out in the street clubbing babies to death and Labour supporters would still say voting for him is justified as "a tactical vote"
>>

>Corbyn could be out in the street clubbing babies to death

At least he'd be seen to be standing for something if he was doing that.

>huge swathes of people have become very educated on politics.
I live in Glasgow and I'm pretty far left and I've only met a handful of people that actually care about politics or know what the parties stand for.

Ask the average Joe and he'll tell you "Tories are bad but they know what they're doing with muh money.", "Sturgeon shares the water of William Wallace and she's going to lead us down the golden path" and "Labour are bad, they ruined the economy in 2008 and we can't trust them with money until the Tories have got everything fixed".

I wish this was hyperbole.
>>
>>36694082
>Tories are bad but they know what they're doing with muh money.

>Labour are bad, they ruined the economy in 2008 and we can't trust them with money until the Tories have got everything fixed

I'm also from Glasgow and pretty left wing, and I'm shocked you are hearing this from anyone. Do you live in Milngavie or Giffnock or something?

Everyone I know in Glasgow absolutely despises the Tories, and even if they aren't massively politically literate, they know that the global financial crisis started outside the UK.
>>
>>36694124

Know how I know you're middle or upper class? :^)

I'll make sure there's space in the gulags for you.

I'm interested to hear the answer to this.

The working class are right leaning and only pretend to vote left. You'll see it soon enough.

Anyway, I'm off to work.

best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, second best time is right now.

join the gym, get into a routine of cardio, gives you something to do
look at going back to college for the gcses, you're starting late, but it's better than at 40.

But in the end, change comes from within. "Get your shit together" is great advice, but only when accepted is it useful.

Joining in the political speak lads...

I have always voted labour but for the first time in my life, I've lost all confidence in them.

It's all very well saying you're going to fix the NHS, increase minimum wage, ban zero hour contracts, etc, but it's all wishful thinking. Of course everybody is going to be attracted to the idea of better services and more money but they haven't really said how they're going to do it. Specifically with the NHS thing, there are so many existing contracts and limitations in place that even if they did get in power, they couldn't change anything.

I suppose I'm just sick of idealistic but empty promises. How is Corbyn going to single handedly fix the huge financial and social issues in the UK when he can't even defend himself in an interview with Andrew Neil without whining and shouting? How is he going to lead us through negotiations with the EU if he throws an SJW style strop when he doesn't get his own way?

I don't think he's a bad politician - in fact I think he's a lot more genuine than most. He just doesn't inspire me and I don't think I'm the only one to feel this.
>>
>>36694367
It's too late for you, lad. Give up and enjoy a life of being a neet
>>
>>36694367
Definitely not too late lad, retake those GCSEs, don't bother with uni it's a waste of time even if you fall for the STEM meme. Apprenticeship might be an idea but desu you might actually just be better off trying to become an intern somewhere and working your way up, you'd be surprised how well that works.
>>
>>36694367
>should i get an apprenticeship and pick up a trade?
That's where the money is, lad. Plumber or electrician.
>>
>>36694508
Any idea who you will vote for instead?
>>
>>36694367
I know someone who got tired to a local shop and he had no GCSEs. Just speak to local places and you might get lucky eventually.
>>
>>36694508
If you don't vote Conservative it's a waste. They need the most votes AND seats in order to have the full backing of the UK for the EU negotiations.
Forget everything else, all this general election is about is the EU.
>>
>>36694561
You can't get on a plumbers course without gcses
>>
>>36694508
They have said how they're going to do these things.

Free school meals for kids is being funded by VAT on Private Schools. The NHS will be funded by an increase in Corporation Tax.

They're going to explain the funding more in the Manifesto in a few days.

Don't lose hope, these aren't promises that are impossible to keep - quite the opposite. These are slighty left-wing but very powerful policies that are easy to impliment.
>>
>>36694587
Why do the conservatives need full backing? So that they can have full control over the terms of Brexit.

Whoever is a majority government, regardless of how small the majority - they are able to negotiate the terms of the EU and compromise on these terms with other partys.

This isn't about getting a good deal for us, it's about getting a good deal for the Tories, which means the rich, at our expense.

Giving the Conservatives more seats will only make the EU negotations go worse for us.
>>
>>36694671
>however small the majority
You mean held to ransom by backbenchers.
That's why we need as large a majority as possible.
>>
English anons, what do we gain from keeping Scotland in the union?

What do we gain by allowing them special privileges?
>>
anyone else look a lot younger than their age?

im 23 and i look about 16/17. people are always surprised when i tell them my age
>>
I used to be a Conservative voter, I voted so that I we would have the EU Referendum. but I've lost faith in them since Brexit.

It's been months and months of propoganda without any meat behind it - the negotiations have gone nowhere and May wants to get a bigger majority to try and strong-arm the EU when that just simply wont work - They are worth more to us than we are to them. We are only importers, and have nothing to export anymore - whereas trade with the EU is a huge source of our essentials. I'd expected the Conservatives to have actually got somewhere with the negotiations by now and I'm starting to regret my initial decision and am thinking about voting SNP, as I'm Scottish and I want out of this sinking ship.
>>
>>36694698
There isn't any benefit, in fact it's a detriment.

>>
>>36694721
unless you're in a position of power, voting conservative is self defeatist because they represent the interests of the elite, not the peasants.
>>
>>36694721
>I'd expected the Conservatives to have actually got somewhere with the negotiations by now

It's a bad time for us and for the EU to negotiate. Remember there's several European elections this year (Dutch/French/German).
>>
>>36694721

>>

>>
>>36694688
Actually, a bigger majority creates more backbenchers within the party.

A bigger majority will actually create less opposition to the Tories where it really matters most right now - on issues like the NHS, education, and workers rights.

Don't believe the Tory Propoganda that they need a bigger majority to get a better deal for the UK - that has no truth behind it. The reality is that they will gain more power within the country, the size of their majority makes practically no difference to the EU Negotiations
>>
>>36694740
are you small or skelly?

thing with me, im quite muscular because i lift so that makes me look a bit older but my face looks so young.
>>
>>36694779
No you mentalist. You don't understand how parliament works. A small minority is more easily controlled by a rebel group within the party.
>>
>>36694740

>>
>>36694800
small majority
>>
>>36694764
But don't we need a strong majority for a good deal on Brexit?
>>
>>36694800
Explain your logic? Because a bigger majority means the ratio of backbenchers to Cabinet Ministers is more in favour of the backbenchers. I can only see how it affects matters of opposition from other parties. The size of the majority doesn't make any difference to rebel groups.
>>
>>36694779
the torries getting a bigger majority is a nightmare for anyone that is working class.

there needs to be more of a balance or the voices of the working class will not be heard.

cant even be ased with politics tbqhwy, its been the same arguments and battles since democracy was created.
>>
>>36694867
backbenchers don't act as their own faction, they don't all band together
that's the mistake you're making

also, i know what you mean about advice only being useful when accepted. you have to be in the right mindset too, i think. and that's my problem right now. keep feeling like shit and wanting to do nothing. maybe i should see about getting medicated?

You still haven't explained why a bigger majority would make any difference to rebel backbenchers.

Anyway, I'm sure you have lot's of good reasons for voting Tory, myself I'm working class and have been shafted by both of the last Governments and to add insult to injury I'm dependent on the NHS and I've been pretty close to the inhumane cuts placed on them by Conservatives.

Why did you vote for a EU Referendum when you clearly understand how badly we're going to get fucked in Brexit?

Or did you believe that we could somehow have our cake and eat it too?
>>
>>36695016
>why would more peopole toeing the party line make a difference

literal mong
>>
>>36695105
I bet you think you're pretty dangerous
>>
>>36695105
So you've gone from being too intellectually lazy to explain your argument to me, to insulting me?

There's noo guarantee a larger majority would result in more people toeing the party line. Obviously the Government pick their candidates based on yes-manship but that never works perfectly does it? The constituents they represent often end up coming before party politics, even to Tories.

Typical Tory - intellectually lazy and insulting when faced with someone confronting them.
>>
>>36695181
because this stuff is obvious to anyone who knows politics
watch 2015 QTs before and after the election
>>
>>36695181
Also the Government will be split between voting for candidates who have held there consituency for a long time, but may have a history of not following the party line.. and a candidate who is a new face in a vulnerable seat but promises to toe the party line.

But I'm sure it's as simple as it is in your head... No need to reply to me with actually thought-out responses, no...
>>
>>36695197
You aren't explaining your rationale, so I don't believe you actually understand what you're talking about either.

see >>36695181
>>36695212

I explain to you clearly the reasons why a bigger majority won't guarantee any difference to their negotiations. You constantly ignore the points I make in preference of insults. But I expect nothing better from a Tory. Head too far up your arse to actually listen and respond to arguments... better just to simplify it all rather than consider the nuances, with some insults peppered in for good measure
>>
>>36695252
>10 rebel backbenchers
when are they going to have the most influence?
>>
>>36694937
Is higher better or worse?
>>
>>36695197
why dont you make proper arguments about why people should vote tory? - i.e the elites are more capable of managing the masses.

if you're gonna vote tory, you should at least understand their philosophy
>>
>>36695197
If it is so obvious then it should be no problem to explain it to the fella would it?

People like you are the worst.

>it's so obvious!
>you're an idiot if you don't understand!

If you cannot back up your thoughts on politics, don't spout them on the internet like you know what the fuck you're talking about.

I keep my political opinions to myself. My personal opinion though is that you're a wanker.
>>
>>36695269
And more MPs for the Tories may result in more rebel backbenchers. Besides, don't pretend 10 rebel backbenchers are the reason for May's failure in the EU negotiations
>>
>>36695310
>left eu to dimish globalism and muzzies

>trade agreements are being conducted by a career politician funded by globalists who support diversity

lol

what was the point
>>
>>36695252
I'm not that guy but consider the government attempts to pass a policy and 10% of their MPs rebel on it (which is a lot). Currently the Conservatives have 330 MPs, so the rebellious group would be able to defeat the government with the opposition. If they had say 370 MPs, then 37 wouldn't be enough to stop the government. With the way Parliament and party politics work in general, large scale rebellions of this size pretty much wouldn't happen anyway.
>>
>>36695353
Yeah this is why I can't see many UKIP voters for Brexit voters continue to vote Conservative. I don't put much faith in polls conducted by this Government so I don't even believe they have a strong lead over Labour anymore
>>
>>36695366
Thanks for explaining, but I've already demonstrated I understand this.

As I've already said, if they increase there share of MPs there is a likelihood that the amount of rebels could increase too
>>
>>36695310
there hasn't been any negotiations, jesus you are thick
>>
>>36695413
I see where you're coming from but while possible, it isn't really plausible for the number of rebels to increase with the scale the Conservatives could increase to the point they could still overturn the majority, especially when leveraged.
>>
>>36695484
Not formal ones, but there has been a lot of discussions between her and the EU.

>>
>>36695570
You're incredibly clueless to think there hasn't been informal negotiations and posturing already. The negotiation period started a long time ago, May has already threatened EU worker's rights, which didn't go well.

But keep it coming with the insults, and trying to represent me as clueless when I'm seeming to be more informed than you are.

I know the formal negotiations haven't started yet, I already stated this. I know what a party whip is. And I know how parliament works.

You're incredibly intellectually lazy, and unsprirising as a Tory. You've already made yourself appear misinformed, cuntish, and lazy. Why are you even responding to me even more?
