Is there a discord for the /r9k/ traps? I want to talk with my fellow crossdressing pals.

For ten years, there have been several /b/ threads where people debate whether or not traps are gay, share trap porn, and post pictures of their shaved legs. Please use them instead.

Trap threads manage to be considerably more annoying than regular porn threads, because people spam boypussy and girl (male), abuse spoilertext, punctuate with tildes, and ERP with one another. As far as OC to traffic ratios are concerned, they're terrible threads. They're cancer in the classic sense, something that spreads despite being generally considered awful (trap threads are not successful because most people like traps threads, they're successful because you don't need that many dedicated posters to camwhore or dump images).

Every NSFW random board slowly becomes porn, and trap spam is kicking /r9k/'s slovenly ass into the abyss.

They're also full of camwhoring and /soc/ content. A nontrivial number of the people behind them are moral lepers who get off on convincing seventeen year old weebs that if they don't take HRT they will spend the rest of their lives alone. Transitioning is not a solution to social isolation and pornography addiction, the five or ten years of free attention and affection before your looks fade don't make up for everything that comes after that.

/r9k/ has not been a good board in a long time. After deletion, it was nearest to decent when blogposting was pervasive enough that you could always find a thread full of people greentexting about the worst things that happened in their life. It was still mostly garbage, but it still had a unique culture that produced some interesting things.

Trap threads never produce anything other than dating drama, gender dysphoria, and leg pics. Trannies, traps, and chasers are the most cancerous bunch on 4chan, and had a significant role in ruining /b/, g, and /r9k/, as well as continually lowering the quality of several other media boards. No other fetishists have killed boards like you guys.

Alright, may as well talk about how we ended up together and stuff. It was through 4chan, /vg/ Discords specifically. We knew eachother for a while without really being friends, I unwillingly got caught up in some shitty Discord drama that resulted in me losing basically all of my friends. (I'm a lonely lonely boy with nobody IRL.) To this day I don't know why, but he reached out to me. Sympathy I guess. Invited me to a little personal Discord he ran, kept me company a lot. Listened to me when I was upset and crying. He was just being a really good person. We grew close, and I started to really care about him. He started getting flirty with me and by that point I was already head over heels for him.

So here we are.

We're both very sad people, our lives have been very different but we have similar anxieties. I guess we understand and soothe each other in a way other people haven't. It's really comfortable and warm feeling, knowing he's out there thinking about me. I'm 21, he's 26. We don't live far away but we're both in some pretty bad financial situations right now and there is the US/Canada border between us. Before the end of the year I'd love for us to meet. And complete 100% honesty I plan on marrying him, and he says the same.

It's hard to describe, it's just a really nice warm and fuzzy feeling. I've yet to feel it, but the thought of being cradled in his arms, laying my head on his chest and listening to his heartbeat, falling asleep next to eachother, eating meals together, watching movies together. Encourages me in a really special way.

I'm going to paraphrase something he said to me because it perfectly reflects how I feel to, "I feel like I can live the life I want to live with you."

You don't understand 4chan. You see, the popular myth is that everyone on 4chan uses every board, and that (for example) the Anon who posts about games on /v/ posts about anime on /a/. Nothing could be further from the truth.

In reality, people are eager to differentiate themselves and scapegoat others, which means that boards' populations rapidly grow to despise each other. This means that, rather than posting about video games on /v/, the regular /a/ user will either post about them on a third-party site with no reputation on his home board, attempt to post about them on /a/, or not post about them at all. The nature of belonging is such that he'd rather remain silent than post on the board of his hated rival.

What this has to do with trap threads is that every board has had its own, slightly unique variant of 4chan gayness. At some point, the management decided this was unacceptable, and ever since then, they've been trying to herd a bunch of people with distinct backgrounds and preferences into one holding pen or another. The reason you see a lot of these threads is that /r9k/ is being forced to absorb posters displaced by administrative fiat from /a/, /v/, possibly /fit/, and other boards as well. The reason you see them HERE is that /r9k/ is a more-or-less "safe" board, with none of the reputation of /b/.

There's no fix. Allowing them back into their homes is a non-starter, because shitposters will use their return as an excuse to misbehave. Trying to send them to /b/ is pointless, because "go to /b/" is just an insult. Banning them will just create a steadily-growing clique of embittered shitposters, upset that 4chan was suddenly and unfairly pulled out from under them.
