My current gf is Filipina and my last one is too. Never had a problem like this with them since they're fluent in English. The ex taught me so many words and was constantly joking with me in tagalog. That's what I love about those girls. Cultural compatibility. Their way of thinking makes sense to me. Sentence structure isn't the same and they can confuse some stuff. Like for example in tagalog they don't really have gender specific pronouns like he and she. So when they are speaking English sometimes they use the wrong gender. But overall they're pretty good at it.

On the other hand the Koreans I dealt with gave me a headache. Even if we can communicate in English and understand the words each other are saying the emotions being expressed are foreign.
