Dont know about senior prom but junior prom night I sent an extremely long and cringy cry for help on AIM to my crush whom had just given me her AIM and phone number a couple days before when I asked her to sign my yearbook.

Probably the biggest mistake of my life since i think she kinda wanted to at least be friends with me based on interactions prior to me asking for her #, just being friends would have been amazing for a friendless loser like me.

Instead, because of my ridiculous and pathetic actions it turned into possibly the most fucked up relationship possible, she seemed to want to help me initially but i grew resentful of the fact that she never wanted to do anything with me or treat me like an actual friend, only chat on AIM and occasionally talk on phone, and I got extremely clingy and super pathetic. It just got really messed up on both ends, some major drama lasting well over a year.

Eventually I stopped going to school, and the school got the court involved and got me sent to a group home to finish school. Eventually became a NEET till 21 partly because of this and I didnt get over this for years.

This was like 14 years ago so i cant give specifics (probably blocked it out) but it was such a deeply unhealthy situation that it fucked me up for years, even now I have no interest in ever getting close to a woman.

But yeah thats what I did for prom.

junior year: went with gf at the time, smoked with friends after and plowed her period pussy

senior year: aforementioned gf away for college, didnt go to prom, went to house party

peaked in high school

Went to prom with a girl I thought liked me. I was so excited I payed for both tickets picked her up and a friend. Turned out she was a lesbian and ditched me for her after we took pictures. Went to Waffle House to eat with a friend who was working there and cried when I got home. All in all 5/10 at least the food was ok and my friend played magic with me to cheer me up.

I didn't go. I stayed home playing WoW. Told myself and everyone who asked I got lv 60 that night. I used to boast about it like I was proud of it and I didn't give a shit about the prom.

I dunno, looking back on it 12 years ago I was a fucking idiot. Go to prom, guys, or at least make the attempt to wallflower in college. I am turning 30 this year and I can feel the window closing.

I make good money and was fortunate enough to have a good major/college but I didn't party in college, I didn't talk to a single girl outside of what was required for class groups and I never went to a single bar. I hang out with other losers who brought me down even more after college because it was comfortable.

I remember the friend from the bus story earlier tried to get me to go out but I just resisted over and over again. Woke up one fine day and I was 26 and never been on a date or kissed a girl. Made some changes, went on dates, acted beta, fell in love, got used, got dumped, used a girl, dumped her, and been on a dry spell ever since.

There is hope for the young, go forward and throw yourself out there and something will work eventually. Don't be like me.

It's really hard to convey the actual situation because it was so long ago and so complicated, but it wasn't black and white like you say. She did actually initially try to help me out with my depression and such, but I ruined everything. I have no illusions about whether we would have dated, almost certainly not.

But anything, ANYTHING would have been better than how it ended up, 95% due to my own creepy psychopathy and hyperdepressive autism. My life went into a cascade spiral of the likes probably almost nobody on this forum has EVER went through, a spiral that took me basically years to ""recover"" from to the point where I could function at the most basic level in society.

All I had to do was not throw a huge essay of me spilling my guts about how horrible my life was and how depressed I was, at someone who was basically just an acquaintance. The very first girl who ever showed any interest in me as a human being, and I immediately gave her a literal essay on how fucking crazy I was.

I don't really blame her at all for eventually shutting me out, the surprising and crushing thing is probably that she didn't do it sooner. This shit took like a year. No normal person could have handled my fucking crazy shit. But she initially tried, unfortunately the damage was done that prom night where I exposed myself as a fucking weirdo, so no normal friendship could have ever developed from that point on.

I torpedoed it from the beginning, and the fact that she didn't immediately shut me out and let this go on for over a year is probably the reason I melted down so hard.
