We're just witnessing the beginning, and it's this bad already.

Because we, as humans, have an innate sense of competitiveness. It's that way because competition is the way the strong survived and thrived in the past.

So we curate our self image to make it seem as though we have our shit together and give the illusion that we are better than others and somehow "winning" at life. In normiehood, if you aren't seen as competing for resources, you're weak and a liability to the tribe.
Social media exacerbates the problem and allows you to curate your life to an extremely fine detail.

The only way to win is to not play their games.

The world was full of liars and phonies thousands of years ago, it's full of liars and phonies today, and it most likely will be full of them for the foreseeable future.

People are constantly lying, cheating, stealing, and being titanic douchebags to each other, and oftentimes themselves.

The crazy thing is a lot of people don't notice it or don't seem to care.
