I've done similar things before. People call or stop in asking if we have any rooms available. Look and see we have a few left. "Nope sorry, the nearest hotel is about 3 miles away though." If i'm feeling really devilish or they're really rude I'll print them out directions to some random place north of here (all other nearby hotels are south of us).
