You'll get fit, learn discipline (which is extremely important in life, but not many people have), meet other people, learn skills, and have money waiting for you at the end of it.

The reason many people do it right out of high school is because it gives you time to mature while doing something productive.

Literally nowhere is any normal duty soldier seeing actual combat.

I have like 5 "acquaintances" that are in the army/marines/ect or were in the past. None of them saw any combat. They were all shipped off to non-combat locations throughout the world like san diego, germany, south korea (where shit might finally/actually happen), etc.

I was in this same situation a year ago. I got a job at a grocery store for 8 months and used that money for a shitbox car and sex toys, and I still have a lot in reserve
I'm now going to a small community college right next to my house, my parents paid for tuition cause I showed responsibility or some shit
I'm still as much as a shut-in no friends khhv robot as before, but I was able to get mummy and daddy to let me live with them just that much longer
